The property was clean, quiet, calm… It was further away from the center of Fès which was perfect because the city was too noisy. After a long day in the city we were able to relax in this beautiful place. The garden also was clean and taken care off you can have a nice breakfast with a view of the pool. There were cats so cute so we brought them food so they could join us. The host is an amazing lady and she made sure that we were comfortable. Everything is already there so no need to take your hair dyer and so on… me and my family loved it !

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful apartment right in the heart of Fes, with a lovely authentic Moroccan vibe. We arrived by car and the host kindly met us directly at the parking, then walked with us to the apartment and welcomed us with traditional Moroccan mint tea (atay). He showed us everything we needed to know in the apartment and also took the time to explain how to find our way around the city, which was extremely helpful. On the morning of our checkout (we stayed just one night) he even prepared a delicious Moroccan breakfast for us, which was a wonderful surprise and a perfect end to our stay. And then he took us back to our parked car. Everything was perfect, we were fully satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend this apartment and the host to anyone visiting Fes.

The house (palace) is huge and very well equipped. We were there in 2 families with 3 kids and the staff, Ishan and Fatima, took such good care of us. The breakfast was delicious and we will keep this experience as extraordinary. The location is in the old Medina.

Samira was a wonderful host, and I couldn't be more thrilled that I was able to stay at her property. In fact, I only booked for one night, but loved the location and property so much that I booked a second. To speak anthropomorphically, Dar Zaz is a home, not a hotel or a hostel. It is centrally located near the Blue Gate and sandwiched on a side street off of shops that offer more than just tourist paraphernalia (although that's there for you, if that's your thing), but also shops for toiletries, food, and other bric-a-brac necessities. You're also a very short walk from the Hammam Spa which was glorious. Dar Zaz was a respite after days of travelling through the country by car. Every artifact in the home is clearly selected carefully to not only provide comfort, but also a sense of Moroccan beauty. The property itself has modern amenities (finally, a washing machine), a rooftop terrace that is very private feeling, plenty of shower/bathroom space, comfortable beds, all the outlets worked, and it was impeccably clean. I made a fateful error of not being able to collect my keys at the time I originally requested, and Samira kindly stayed and waited for me with tea and pleasant conversation. Honestly it was my first real conversation in over a week of travel and I was so glad to have it. She is a wealth of knowledge about her city, and you should soak in as much as you can. There's nothing more to say other than enjoy your stay.

I fell in love with so many historical items.The rooftop is a mini garden oasis that can protect you from the sun. The owner and his community was sweet and welcoming. Any concerns or questions were immediately responded to. Breakfast was made by a sweet lovely girl named Houda. We had such a unique experience! 😊 Thanks.
