Originally built as a summer residence by the Duke of Argyll in 1870, Dungallan Country House Bed & Breakfast is situated on the edge of the town of Oban. The tranquil and secluded, yet commanding position means that the hotel offers superb views to 3 sides. Oban’s promenade and the town’s shops are just a 10-minute stroll away.

Simon and Kristy were delightful. Our upgraded room was beautiful and comfortable. The library and bar added to our need for relaxing days.

Superb view of the bay. Just stunning. Super comfy large bed. Nespresso machine and supply of biscuits/teas/coffee. Room made up each day if desired and supply’s topped up. Very clean. The staff work very hard. Quiet and peaceful. Breakfast excellent. Help yourself buffet. Really set you up for the day, again with breathtaking bay view. The room was better than most hotels so many little thoughtful details and such a luxury feel in keeping with the period of the house( our room had a chandelier!).The very well put together breakfast to go in a fridge in the room was inspired. The host was friendly but we had total privacy and with a key fob that meant we could come and go as we pleased but still very peaceful and quiet.
