beautiful house warm and welcoming great location greeted by the owner given early check in to accommodate the 2 babies we had as well as a high chair and gates being fitted the welcome basket was a lovely surprise

Loved being in the countryside. 4 miles from York City. Spacious room with en suite. We had the Duke room. Great being able to cook our own meals in a huge well stocked kitchen. You need to take your own food although tea and coffee supplied.Plenty of frig and freezer space as well as a frig in our room.

The bed is on the soft and springy side, but I slept very soundly on it. Our host was friendly and cooked up a delicious English breakfast in the morning, although there are lots of other breakfast options such as toast and cereal if you wish. The whole team were obviously well trained, motivated, friendly, professional and authentic. The food offer in the bar & breakfast was very well prepared, presented with quality ingredients & beautifully cooked.
