“Manager was exceptionally friendly, welcoming and kind - and speaks English perfectly. Informal atmosphere, great layout, free and plentiful parking and fantastic location very close to the centre of Cancale and the port. We were unable to check-in during the Reception's opening hours but the manager was extremely helpful and advised me as to precisely where to locate the key in a safety box (with PIN), so we were able to arrive quite late. The layout of the site is almost like a small village with walkways leading up to and between various low-rise apartments all of which appeared to have a garden or terrace or both. Cars have to drive in and park-up so although this means a short walk with luggage (depending on apartment location obviously) the result is that 90% of the site is totally car-free and therefore quiet and safe for children to play with freedom. Our apartment was lovely, on the ground floor, a table/chairs outside and sea views (only a few have sea views, but nevertheless all looked out onto fields or across small gardens from what I could tell). The location is tremendous, being situated in a fairly sleepy part of Cancale but probably only 5 or so mins walk to the very centre of the village/town. To go to the port, with its bars, restaurants and shops (and very little parking) it is only a 5min walk; go out the site across a grassy area, connect with a little path, turn left then right down some steps and hey presto you are in the port (you can also turn right then left!) My wife ran the Mont St Michel Marathon and we left our apartment at 8.15am, walked to the start line which was right in the centre of the port and she started the race at 8.30am. The proximity of this site to amenities and action is fantastic, but it is quiet and sleepy at the same time.”

“The room was beautiful, with a small kitchen equipped with fridge sink etc and a table and chairs in one side of the room. The balconies overlooked the main street and the sea (at high tide) so we watched the parade of tractors down the main street, bringing the boats back on trailers as the tide turned. The workers were sat round the sacks of shellfish in the boat and we waved to them! Great location, right in the heart of Cancale Port on the main street. No problem storing our bikes overnight.”

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast good and excellent value for money. We will definitely be going again.”
