“One of the best services we have ever got during vacation. The personel is super friendly and helpful. We got a lot of tips where and how we can go. It is a small but very fine hotel. The rooms are simple but very clean. There is an air conditionining, a fridge, a nice view and small appiance against mosquitos. I found the beds and pillows comfortable (relative hart). On the balkony we had a small table with chairs. The bar was amazing. I have never seen such collection of many different drinks for every taste. The barman definentely understands from his job. He is not making only tasty cocktails. He adviced us in many cases. He can explain you each alchohol, what is the exact taste and influence on you. Just AMAZING. The swimming pool was also very nice and clean where you can get some taste cocktails. The food in the hotel was as well amazing. Everything was fresh, home made with regional products. It is a small menue but worth it to try. The breakfast was always with home made pankackes and croissants. For my taste the breakfast too sweet oriented (subjective). There is also Tavern directly next to the hotel. Also very good food. WIFI Internet connection was perfect in the whole hotel. The location of the hotel is very quiet and relaxing. I loved it. There is a wild beach 5 min. walk. The small city is 3 km (30 min nice walk on the beach) away with a lot of restaurants and nice bars. There you can also go on the beach where you can get umbrella and 2 beds for 5-8 euros per day. There is a salty lake close by with flamingos. It is nice to see. In the small city there are a lot of possibilities to rent a bike, car, or motopeds. We rented bycicles and went around (35 euros for 5 days for 2 mountain bikes). The hotel is cooperating with a rent a bike. The guy brought us the bikes directly in the hotel. We had in the mountain some problems with one tire. We just called the guy. Within 10 min. he was there, brought a new bike and took the other one with him.”

“The owners were friendly they had a great waiter Yarnni. All the facilities were wonderful. Nice sized pool. Food was exceptional second to no where €8 buffet breakfast and I think €25 dinner again buffet one of the 2 nights meat was cooked over the coals by the owner ( I was told marinated 3 days prior). Vegetables were locally grown, just wonderful. The room was as photos on this site.”

“We have travelled to many destinations, most of these being the Greek Islands and this resort and hotel is by far the best!! We arrived very late and were greeted from the taxi by George who helped us with our cases and showed us to our room. He gave us all the information that he could to settle us into our first night from mosquito nets on doors and windows (built in), air conditioning to opening hours of the snack bar. Moments later he came back to the room with 2 large bottles of water in case we didn't have any, this was very thoughtful and already above what we expected. The room was perfect and spacious, the only place we have stayed where the children have had their own bedroom in the studio...excellent, with an amazing view of the salt lake and sea from the balcony! The pool was quiet, plenty of loungers and shade with beautiful scenery. The bar was always manned offering cold or hot drinks, the home cooked food was out of this world (especially the chips) and very reasonably priced. We ended up eating at the hotel for the majority of our stay :-) The addition of the fresh home grown figs and grapes being offered to guests around the pool was fantastic. Golden Sun was by far the most relaxed and welcoming place we have ever stayed. Guests staying at other hotels in the area would come to spend time at the pool because it was so welcoming and tranquil. Everywhere was kept clean and tidy, everything is done by the family that own the hotel, mainly Yannis and George who are an absolute asset to Golden Sun. This family could truly not do enough for you, if you needed anything within the hour it would be done, again way above our expectation. The family were all a pleasure to meet and spend time with. The resort of Tigaki was fabulous, plenty to do for everyone. We were travelling with 3 young children (6, 4 and 1 year old) and they did not complain once. We were very sad to leave Golden Sun and cannot wait to book our next stay at the hotel.”
