Casal Paleologos is one of the few mansions still remaining intact in Mykonos Town. Built in the mid 1850’s, it has been in the hands of the Paleologos family, merchants and ship-owners of the Greek diaspora, ever since. Situated at the very heart of the town, it provides easy access to all the shopping, dining and entertaining hot spots. Yet, standing high above street level and just off the main streets, it retains the quiet and tranquillity essential to a restful sojourn. Recently renovated with expert care and sensibility, this upper-storey house consists of a grand, high-ceilinged salle-de-sejour, comprising of a dining table for six, a sitting area (with an original Cycladic sofa and elegant vintage armchairs) and a fully equipped kitchen. Maintaining the traditional feel of the house, the living room is furnished in a tasteful combination of authentic antiques (such as the 1860’s venetian gilded mirror, part of the original decoration of the house) and modern pieces, creating a stylish, yet comfortable ambience. There are three double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The master bedroom, faces west and has views towards the harbor and the sacred island of Delos.

My name is Lila Paleologos and I come from an old Mykonian family of merchants and seafarers. Casal Paleologos is my great-grandmother's house. I am a graphic designer and interior decorator, working both in Mykonos and Athens. I personally supervised the renovation of the house and picked out the furnishings and equipment. By using original family antiques and vintage pieces, I tried to re-create for my guests a tasteful environment, with an authentic feel of luxury. I hope that guests will appreciate this unique opportunity to stay in a house with so much history and positive energy.
