Getting around is easy.
Getting around is easy. Nice parks and resorts and tourist areas. I liked the tourist areas around Erbil, short day trips then you can go back to your hotel in the city. I see that the government is working to improve tourism, however, there is still more work need to be done, investment in the parks and resorts is very important which will bring more tourist locally and internationally.

Our stay at the hotel was beyond exceptional! This was mainly due to the front office receptionist (Ramen) who was extremely helpful, professional and courteous. Our entire duration was seamless and wonderful! It’s obvious the staff truly care about their guests and we will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel. Thank you so much again Ramen, you have made us loyal guests

I would stay in Ainkawa rather than Erbil, it is a waking area. Erbil is a car city, like Dubai or Jakarta. It is not a walking city like Kuala Lumpur or Paris. If one has a car than Erbil area is nice, especially if one can go up into the mountains in the summer.

Erbil itself is an interesting historical city but you probably only need two days to visit most of the highlights. It's easy to get around as there is always a glut if taxis. It helps if you have gps and you know the local name of where you're going. Staying in Ankawa probably makes the most sense for any tourist as many of the best restaurants ( Fuul & hummus), bars (Dusk) and spas are there. Erbil is also a perfect base for travelling the governorate including Haji Ormran, gslgurd mountain and Felaw pound, Bekhal, Gali Ali Bag, korek mountain and Shingalbana

I usually spend a lot of time before choosing my hotel and it was a perfect choice. The location is better than any other location in whole Erbil. Everything around you in a walking distance. Touristic areas in all cases need a taxi and majority they are outside erbil. The hotel is comfortable and staff at reception are wonderful. They are helpful and the hotel itself makes you feel like at home. Its B&B, so if you don't care about luxury then it is the perfect place.

Wonderful staff.Haval and Rawan were of a great help since our booking. We got a free upgrade room which was very appreciated. Clean and very safe hotel in a convenient location 1 km from Erbil citadel Haval helped us to find a driver to travel around Iraqi Kurdistan: experience with him was good despite language barrier. Aside from frequent check point ,country is safe and people are very friendly.

I stayed with my family for 2 weeks in Sipan hotel . Check in was easy and not complicated at all . The staff is very very helpful and kind .. we didn't need to ask them twice! For the price we had access to spa, gym and swimming pool. It was great. I would like to book my room in this hotel the next time I come to erbil. To all I'd like to say thank you very much for everything! :)

Perfect staff, especially Rudy and Wasim. The GM Abdul-Wahab was always available even at night times, making sure everything was ok. The breakfast was continental, and nearly everything was available, from honey and three types of homemade jams to two kinds of Iraqi bread, and of course, Iraqi tea. The room was clean and good quality AC.

The price in Booking was in Iraqi Dinars, while the confirmation I received was in US Dollars in a rate different from the actual, and therefore I had to pay about 90 thousand Iraqi Dinars more than the amount in Booking, so please in the future check the rate or keep the prices in US Dollar to avoid misleading. Great location as far as visiting the Ainkawa suburb is concerned, which has many bars, cafes and restaurants. Staff were also very hospitable and friendly, especially Rana from Syria. Ankawa is like a city within a city, so I do recommend staying here separately to Erbil city to experience it as well.

Friendly staff - all of them, security, front of house, housekeeping. Large comfortable rooms with balconies. Leisure facilities available, I haven’t used yet but they are there. Location, Ankawa is the Christian sector of Erbil which is important for me.

The managerial staff Ghaith and Hamzah were outstanding and couldn't have been more kind and helpful in every way. Having been to the centre of Erbil, I actually preferred the location of Soulmate Hotel in the Bakhatiari area instead.
