The Packwood Inn had the best rates of the other half dozen nearby motels. The beds are very comfortable and there's a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker in the room.

The staff was most friendly and understanding, didn't charge us fir the night though they were perfectly within their rights to do so. A class act.

There was popcorn in the lobby, hot drinks available, plastic silverware which was appreciated for our microwaveable dinners, and the TV was huge. Rainier and other great hiking spots. The restaurant has great mexican choices for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Overall, clean place to come back to after a hike.
