The cabañas maria hau are very recommendable! Everything was very clean, just as it appeared in the pictures. The 4 cottages come with a well equipped kitchen and are hidden in a beautiful garden full of flowers and with a lot of shade and privacy for each terrace. I was very glad that the windows are protected with moskito protection screens, so that we had no problems with flys or moskitos! Maria was so helpful with all questions we had at any time of the day. Additionally they picked us up and brought us to the airport. They even organised a guided tour for us from one day to the other, calling all guides they knew. We just felt like part of their family! I would defenitely come back to this beautiful gem on the isla de pascua!!!! Thank you so much Maria and Laura!

Amazing staff, these are the people with great souls! The cabin is really nice. The fact that the property is located outside the city I consider a plus - it is a nice walk to the city, closer to other sites on the island, and the absence of light around makes it a great place for stargazing at night.

Patricia, our host, made this property the best! She was always responsive to my emails and questions, picked us up from the airport and toured us around town to help us locate key sights, and went the extra mile to meet our every need - she even opened her home for me to access the internet for a business meeting. She checked in each day and offered suggestions for whatever we needed or wanted to do. The location is the other great attribute - we were walking distance from just about everything, other than some of the distant ruins. Great restaurants and sights, including the perfect sunset location are 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. The room was clean and so comfortable. A great kitchen with the supplies we needed for coffee, tea and simple meals. Loved the upstairs loft bedroom and balcony for morning coffee. Truly a special place and highly recommend it - would stay there again in a minute!

it’s in a garden near the airport ( but only 3-4 flights a week) and a 15-20 minute walk downtown the folks that run it are sweethearts they have rental cars so you don’t even have to leave the property for that…. and their jeeps are as cheap or cheaper than the places in town….

A fantastic stay! Such a beautiful setting - an amazing view with sunsets over the ocean, wonderful cabin with everything you need, and peace and quiet just a short stroll (or drive) from town. The tours that were organised for us were brilliant too. Fiji and Jerome were such great hosts - Merci!

The breakfast was good for us that eat meat not so good for a couple of our party that were vegetarians. There were a couple hiccups but were remedied quickly. Ran out of gas for hot water and power went out which was our fault for running the A/C and hot water kettle at the same time. Once we knew then no more problems. Free transport to and from the airport, which is 3 minutes away by car. You can walk to the waterfront in about 8 minutes. It's a little bit outside the main drag, but we preferred that. Super close to the museum and Tahai is in your backyard. A short 10 min walk across Tahai and into the heart of town.
