The view is breathtaking and everything was clean and comfortable. Our hosts were caring and considerate. We had dinner there and it was plentiful, tasty and fitted the occasion perfectly. Breakfast was excellent and abundant!

Noise of Construction work doenst fit the atmosphere but thats nothing one could blame the hosts for.

If you drive there in the evening (when it's dark), it's not so easy to find. Google doesn't give you the right directions and as the road is tough, it's good to have some more signalisation.

Loved the stay. The house is pretty, the hosts are really kind. It was pouring rain and we asked to have dinner inside instead of their beautiful cabin outside. They made us eat really great pasta for a small price. We loved the cabin to eat in the morning, eating with a spectacular view and a nicely prepared breakfast. The breakfast is actually a lot, enough almost to pass the noon if you want. Includes a variety of cheeses and their typical deep fried balls/rings with honey and fig jam.

Beautiful setting, could eat all our meals under the vines. Tasty Albanian food. Located not far from the end of the walk and close to where the bus can collect you to head back to shkoder.

Family owners were adorable the setting was charming and the food simply delicious !! They were very nice and accommodating with the heat and made delicious food even with the electricity cut. The room was simple and comfy and the restaurant terrace + outside fire perfect ! We highly recommend this place

We had a nice stay at Gjin Thana Guesthouse! Lovley to sit under the grape-pergola eating breakfast. Frendly staff and a great location near Theth sentrum. The food was very good and I recommend the dinner here. The staff was super helpful with arranging things for us. They found a place for us to stay the next night and also contacted a horse transport for our luggage form Theth to Valbone.

How can you not love Theth and Gjin Thana. When we finished our long hike from Valbone it was such a lovely feeling to reach Gjin Thana. Lovely Guesthouse. The son who served us (sorry bad at names), was such a nice young man and lovely to talk to. The restaurant was terrific - fabulous food and setting overlooking the valley. Remarkable.

We got only one slipper for three. The bathroom has only shampoo and hand-wash. We recommend providing soap/body wash/paste.

The location is superb !! The owner of the guest house was very helpful and friendly. The food they served was tasty and amazing quantity. Breakfast 🤩 The glass house is having really a nice view of mountains. Grapes 🍇 super tasty.

The most difficult part for us was finding the property once we finished the Valbona -Theth hike. You have to walk nearly an hour on the stony road.

The room could use a lamp, a mirror  and a towel rack as the bathroom is half a flight down and is also the laundry room. The showerhead bracket was broken so you have to hold the showerhead as well as your shampoo and soap, etc. so it would be great if that could be fixed. There is no shower curtain so you have to mop the floor after you are done. 

Breakfasts were amazing and suppers were great too.  All the family were very helpful.  The view was incredible.  They make their own jams and wine vinegar and wine.

GjinThana offers an unrivalled and authentic experience of Albanian hospitality. The hosts, Selma and Erion are an amazing young couple who go the extra mile to make their guests feel so welcome. They even prepared a cake for my husband when I mentioned, in passing, that it was his birthday. The guesthouse itself is absolutely charming and sitting at our favourite table, surrounded by the mountains, for breakfast and dinner was idyllic. There is something about Theth which is spiritual and healing and this guesthouse reflects the overall Thethi vibe. The place is spotless, the breakfast and dinner simply exquisite and so generous. Moreover, the food is all homemade and freshly prepared. Exceptional property/!hosts and fantastic value for money. We cannot recommend Gjin Thana enough. It deserves more than a 10 rating. Great location for hiking Theth to Valbona (and very accessible to hiking the waterfall, canyon and Blue Eye), lovely family and comfortable room. The view form the property and room is AMAZING.
