Verified reviews from real guests

How does it work?

It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are, and more.

And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Charming, helpful and polite staff. Luxurious furnishings. Small bouitique hotel. Door manned 24hrs giving excellent security. Close access to Sloane Square and King's Road. Taxis frequently pass by the hotel.

There was no bar, which we would have used. We did use room service once. The sofa was uncomfortable, and the room dark, and the overhead spotlights, though on a dimmer, were harsh. The bath had been enamel-painted and a substantial area of paint was peeling off. Paint was peeling off the ceiling too. The marble sink-surround had been inexpertly repaired.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful location. Lots of fun to walk right out the front door and shop on the streets. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

The restaurant had awesome food, but be warned, it is also a bar. We were there on a Friday night. The music and people at the bar were so loud that it was almost impossible to talk at the table. Even worse is that the music that they were playing was "club" type music with a loud and deep base that gave both my wife and I headaches. I would go so far as to say that the place was so loud that dinner was miserable and I could not wait to get out of there. I would never eat there again unless the bar was moved to a different area.

I liked most things about this Hotel. It was genuinely hard to fault on almost every level. Great staff, comfortable, clean and quiet for its location.

I felt I was paying over the odds due to its superb location. Next time I would stay 2 or 3 miles further out for half the price and spend a bit on Taxi's. The Brumus restaurant was good, but not good enough for a hotel of this quality and price. Be aware - Soholistic is not a Spa, it is a Gym and a treatment room as stated in the brochure. On re-reading the details this was my mistake so I can't fault the hotel, but others may jump to the same conclusion on seeing the photo of the wonderful (spotlessly clean) pool.

Ii absolutely recommend any of the hotels in this chain. Staff are friendly, hotel is spotless, breakfast was a very decent continental (that included eggs too!) and the location is a few minutes walk from Hammersmith, which seems to have direct links with absolutely everywhere you might want to go in London. We had a fabulous weekend and the hotel played a huge part. Big thank you to all involved.

This is a budget hotel... but you get FAR more than you pay for.

This hotel might have 4 stars, but what happened to me was below-the-floor service. Booked in advance for 3 nights (27.-30.12.) with not-refundable rate. 600 pounds = ca. 900 Euros. Due to a series of unexpented events I couldn’t go. I phoned them on 26.12., saying „I know, this booking is not-refundable. But I won’t be able to come. So, since you know now, certainly you can sell the room to someone else and we might find an arrangement like I get back 50%?“ – The answer was: „Thanks for informing us that you won’t take the room, so we can sell it to someone else. And: No, you don’t get any money back from us.“ Being a frequent traveller and a member of German Parliament, I can a) tell that this sort of cynic dealing with a customer never happened to me before and b) I will tell the parliamentary office in Berlin to put this hotel on the black list when it comes to official booking. Good excellent staff and service provided by them. Good clean room.

Frequent fire alarms ringing in my stay of 8 nights. Once even in 3am of the night, but there was a letter saying that there was an actual fire on the ground level. Previous 2 times happened on early night times, around 6-8pm, there were no indication whether it was a fire drill or an actual fire, we had to call the reception to find out. Cleaners walked past and told us to evacuate the building, and i saw a lady who walked out of her room barefooted. It would be better to know if the fire alarm is for real or whether it is a drill. Constant alarms going off are really worrying. There was even a blackout, which leads to wifi and tv signal down for several hours. Many technical problems with the hotel.

The hotel, location, and staff were absolutely wonderful. They were very accommodating in every respect. Upon arrival, they upgraded us to a 1 bedroom suite which was great for our 5 year-old.. The concierge was super attentive in helping us with everything.

The breakfast room is small but one morning there was no space for us. Waiting to eat with a 5 year-old is not fun, but at least we were able to cross the courtyard to the Crowne Plaza as they share facilities. Also, the toilets in our room kept clogging but they were very helpful and prompt.

Room was a good size and loved the complimentary drinks and chocolates. Bed very comfortable and staff extremely helpful. Do not understand complaints about the breakfast, its free! Lovely fresh fruit salad every day and fresh rolls. yoghurts, cheese etc. Was in Paris in the summer and you would pay about 20euros there.

Same as what all other reviewers said. Was on the second floor and there is no lift and I have dodgy knees but it is only two flights so no real hardship and staff will carry your bags. It is some way out of town and Hendon is not great but you know this before booking. I feel they need some rooms with a bath as I really do not like showers but this one was good and again you are aware of this before you make the booking. My room was too hot and I could not change the temperature but as soon as I mentioned this at the desk they changed for me. Pillows are dreadful, way too hard and the only ones they have.

Decor and rooms bright and clean. Comfortable.

Was given the wrong room which was smaller than I paid for. We were moved to a nice room but was very noisy as it was below the treadmill in the gym. We were woken at past midnight by this. Bar service was very slow and expensive. The bar man was one of the worst we have encountered, we waited 15 mins for a drink and the bar was nearly empty.

Rooms look great

No ironing facilities in room. Took 3 phone calls and 35 minutes to have one brought to room. B and O TV in room which looked great. Unfortunately the reception was poor. Sound cutting out every 15 seconds made it unwatchable. Had high tea in Ten Room. Poor selection and quality of food. Very poor value for money. Not a patch on Fortnums'. Ten Room ambience impersonal. Service not great. There are many central hotels that offer much better value for money.

The apartment was great, clean and had everything we needed. 10 of us stayed and we had plenty of room for more. The pool room was fab and so was the living room. Kitchen was fully equipped and it had everything we need!

The only downside to this apartment was the location, it is a good 20mins walk from the nearest underground!

Kit kemp has outdone herself with this magnificent hotel. Every inch of the hotel has been decorated to absolute perfection. The staff is brilliant, the food is great, the bowling alley is incredible and the spa is divine. The Ham Yard is an absolutely fabulous hotel and I hope to visit again soon.

The walls are a touch thin-- I did hear some slamming doors and hallway noise. Although soho is quite central, the neighborhood is a little rough at night and this area is hugely congested during the day.
