Verified reviews from real guests

How does it work?

It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are, and more.

And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

All staff were very professional and held a sense of pride yet not snotty and welcoming and willing to please / assist. Suite was fantastic!! Bed, pillows, shower and products were wonderful. Fantastic service in the restaurant too with manager being extremely on the ball with orders and food delicious. I only work down the road but i will definitely be coming be returning to stay and also frequent the bar / restaurant with friends and colleagues.

I didn't get to spend enough time in the suite nor use the facilities. Next time though....

Good excellent staff and service provided by them. Good clean room.

Frequent fire alarms ringing in my stay of 8 nights. Once even in 3am of the night, but there was a letter saying that there was an actual fire on the ground level. Previous 2 times happened on early night times, around 6-8pm, there were no indication whether it was a fire drill or an actual fire, we had to call the reception to find out. Cleaners walked past and told us to evacuate the building, and i saw a lady who walked out of her room barefooted. It would be better to know if the fire alarm is for real or whether it is a drill. Constant alarms going off are really worrying. There was even a blackout, which leads to wifi and tv signal down for several hours. Many technical problems with the hotel.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. No ironing board in the room. Brandy missing from honesty bars. Confusion over what's included in the breakfast package.

Considering the general standards of hotels in London, for the price paid, the hotel was just ok.

The room was very old, small, noisy with very poorish design. Nevertheless, dont expect too much in London even if you stay in 4-5* hotels

Room was a good size and loved the complimentary drinks and chocolates. Bed very comfortable and staff extremely helpful. Do not understand complaints about the breakfast, its free! Lovely fresh fruit salad every day and fresh rolls. yoghurts, cheese etc. Was in Paris in the summer and you would pay about 20euros there.

Same as what all other reviewers said. Was on the second floor and there is no lift and I have dodgy knees but it is only two flights so no real hardship and staff will carry your bags. It is some way out of town and Hendon is not great but you know this before booking. I feel they need some rooms with a bath as I really do not like showers but this one was good and again you are aware of this before you make the booking. My room was too hot and I could not change the temperature but as soon as I mentioned this at the desk they changed for me. Pillows are dreadful, way too hard and the only ones they have.

Everything, great location new and clean very comfortable excellent value. I have traveled a lot to London and stayed at the full range of hotels but this is the nicest cleanest place I have stayed at at anyvalue. Smallish rooms but all new and very comfortable, great beds and linen. So many London hotels are so tired especially at this price range but this is great.

Four flights of stairs to top floor , if u have tons of luggage could be hard work.

They canceled my booking at the last Minute and put me in the sister hotel Metropolitan instead. Which is is very mediocre hotel so I was very dissapointed. Not worth the price. I had a confirmation for the booking so the canceling was not appropriate.

Location is great. "Designer Hotel" - very stylish and colourful. The bathroom is spacious with a walk-in shower (Yes!) even if it did splash everywhere and the shower floor was slippery. Design comes first here. Very importantly: got early check-in after New York night flight and late check-out the next day for late flight out. Very much appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

The room was really VERY small. Ok for one night but with two suitcases it was difficult to move around. What does "King room mean"?

Very modern and ideally clean rooms with all necessary facilities. The hotel is just a few minute walk from Bank underground station. Breakfast is not cheap, but very good. Staff is very friendly and ready to help.

With 580 BP for 3 nights the hotel blocked 1240 BP on my card. I was told at the reception that it's a standard procedure and it will be released automatically. Correct, but in 30 days only according to my bank...

This hotel might have 4 stars, but what happened to me was below-the-floor service. Booked in advance for 3 nights (27.-30.12.) with not-refundable rate. 600 pounds = ca. 900 Euros. Due to a series of unexpented events I couldn’t go. I phoned them on 26.12., saying „I know, this booking is not-refundable. But I won’t be able to come. So, since you know now, certainly you can sell the room to someone else and we might find an arrangement like I get back 50%?“ – The answer was: „Thanks for informing us that you won’t take the room, so we can sell it to someone else. And: No, you don’t get any money back from us.“ Being a frequent traveller and a member of German Parliament, I can a) tell that this sort of cynic dealing with a customer never happened to me before and b) I will tell the parliamentary office in Berlin to put this hotel on the black list when it comes to official booking. Very welcoming staff on Reception and concierge was very helpful. The suite was excellent, large well furnished and great small kitchen as well. To get a suite of this quality for the price of a small room at other 5* London hotels is an absolute bargain. We will definately stay again

Nothing not to like.

Charming, helpful and polite staff. Luxurious furnishings. Small bouitique hotel. Door manned 24hrs giving excellent security. Close access to Sloane Square and King's Road. Taxis frequently pass by the hotel.

There was no bar, which we would have used. We did use room service once. The sofa was uncomfortable, and the room dark, and the overhead spotlights, though on a dimmer, were harsh. The bath had been enamel-painted and a substantial area of paint was peeling off. Paint was peeling off the ceiling too. The marble sink-surround had been inexpertly repaired.

Staff tried to do everything they could to make things better. They are prompt, courteous, and efficient. (The breakfast room folks could smile more, but hey, they have to clean rooms after.) The location is pretty good in a not swarming area of London, near to the Underground at Hammersmith.

The rooms are painfully small and uncomfortable. While there is an en suite, I have to walk up about 70 steps to get to my room. No elevator. It's hot, cramped, basic - and one of the worst spaces I've inhabited ever. It's essentially a closet under the roof. But it's London and better spaces cost much more. (As it is, the prices here are outrageous.) I am glad I am leaving. Where does the money people spend around here come from?

Location, views, dinning room service, food, tea room service, outside patio, and the room's bathrooms. Bed very comfortable.

They hire non English speaking employees. Extremely poor treatment to guests needs and prebooking requests. We were moved 3 times, told bell service would bring luggage to rooms. Never happened. We had to retrieve our luggage each move. We had laundry and had it ready for pick up and notified front desk it was waiting baged in room. 2 days later after my temper blew someone came. We were billed over $300 pounds! At check out we requested a two hour extension since all we did was wait around for luggage and room changes we were told fine. We went down out for breakfast came back 40 min later locked out of our room while the maid non speaking English was inside. We had left our luggage inside now it's gone. We went downstairs to complain and retrieve our bags. After we left the hotel and arrived in Paris my visa was compromised by over $8,000.00 fraud charges. We filed a police report and now returning to USA have to deal with this mess. Oh I forgot to mention my 88 year old Mother had arranged to our from the hotel Alexadria a bottle of champagne and fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate. Unbenounyced to me they were from my mother. They were inside our room with only a card complimentary from Royal Horsegards! 1 hour latter a knock on our door and a man hands me a envelope Inside it read hope you have a wonderful time on your vacation. Love Mom My mother had gone through all the expense and time to make something very special happen and The hotel blew it! No mention the champagne and strawberries were from her not complimentary from Royal Horsegards! The strawberries soggy too!! I've asked before leaving to speak to the manager and they said no one was available! I asked for a call back which a duty manager called twice but I was still in Paris. I called and left him a message to call me once I return to the States 3 days ago. Still no call but boy they sure rang up my visa! I expect follow through and priority service when staying at a luxury hotel.

Bathroom design was excellent and luxurious, with a generous sized tub, separate shower and toilet, even television. Mood lighting and lighting controls accessible from all vantage points. Great bars and amenities in the foyer, the staff friendly and welcoming, we really enjoyed this hotel, and loved it's location, close to the Thames and Embankment with lovely walks through St. James Park, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, London Eye, Southbank.
