Great host. Incredibly helpful. We had a few issues with our arrival due to flight delays, but the host was super helpful and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. Breakfast with that view in the open was stunning.

We absolutely loved the stay at the Gjin Thana! The family is very friendly and helpfull, the guesthouse is located in the perfect place for the best views. The breakfast was delicious and it was such a pleasure to have a breakfast with such an amazing view. The dinner choice was great, with plenty of foods and everything we had was delicious (but have in mind that the portions are big). It was perfect.

One of the best hotels that we have ever been to. You HAVE to book a room if you stay in Theth - if you can get one. Especially the room with the mountain view is worth every penny. The room is very modern, clean and well designed, which we rarely encountered in all of Albania. The bathroom/shower is also big and comfy. Location is amazing since you have an insane view of the mountains, even if you don't have a room with a mountain view, you can enjoy it from the terrace. You even have a direct path for the Theth - Valbona hike which is nice. The food is also very delicious and all cooked by the mother of the family. We tried a few different meals and everything tasted great. They even have a winter garden when it rains, so you can still enjoy the view while dinning/during breakfast. The "staff" aka the family is extremely friendly and helpful. They will help you with anything you need. We asked for example for a sandwich for the hike which we got shortly after and it was big and very tasty. It was such a wonderful 2 1/2 days there which we will never forget.

Everything was incredible! The breakfast and really all the food is amazing! The property itself is to die for. It is a little higher up than some of the other places so there’s about a 7 minute walk from the center but completely worth it because the views, especially at sunset are to die for! You also meet a few nice cow along your path and a few cute piggies. Overall, a 10/10

Welcoming family, happy to help with any questions! Delicious food and big portions at a great price. We stayed in a room with a Mountain View which was beautiful. The breakfasts in he mornings are big and great before starting a hike. They have a shortcut to the valbona pass trail they can guide you to. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The WiFi was very strong but there was more time with no effective internet access than there was with internet. Normally we would assume that this effects an entire area equally, but we talked to others staying nearby who had much better internet access. Also our room had several water leaks in the wet bathroom (supply to the heater, sink, and possibly the toilet). A minor issue except that there was also an unpleasant odor in there. We engaged with many other guests, and none of them brought up an odor issue, so this may be isolated.

Very convenient to the trail for Valbona. For people leaving from here to go in that direction, the staff walked them up directly to the path through a closed gate. This saves a pretty uninteresting 1/2 kilometer, so is great. Breakfast is huge, and all the food and drinks that we had in a day and half stay was of good quality and value. Our room would have slept 4 and the bathroom was spacious. A very nice view from the property. Close to the market.

Where should I begin: very friendly staff/family who made everything possible. Their food is amazing. Their breakfast was diverse and full of healthy options. we recommend eating your dinner at the guesthouse as well, we had the most delicious food served by them. Order Fergese and also the backed potato’s, they are a must! and I shouldn’t forget the stunning view from your breakfast/dinner table (picture attached). the room was well equipped with a comfortable bed. we would go there anytime again

The guesthouse is at the top of a hill. If you plan to do any hiking, you’ll need to add an extra 15 minutes or so to the front and back end. (But the house is nestled at the edge of the village with great views so we felt like it was worth it). There was also a problem with the electricity that meant the lights were out for 20-30 minutes. But this is not the fault of the guesthouse. The electric power in the valley is not so reliable. The family immediately tried to help when we told them our power was out and it soon came back on.

The beds here were so comfy! This was an unexpected treat to us. The staff and family were all very friendly and helpful. They keep the guesthouse impressively clean and smelling so good. The grounds are lovely if you want to spend time there. Also, the food at the restaurant is fantastic. We were also very very pleased with the complimentary breakfast. Our stay was so great and we would’ve stayed another night if we could!

Lovely location, up the hill away from the noise of other guesthouses and construction. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious and well-priced. Would recommend!
