The only thing I could think of is that it is a slight walk from main city areas and the keys could be a bit awkward with the bathroom door in particular but this wasn't a large problem.

It's a very stylish, modern property with a rustic feel and hot drinks available all day. Private rooms and bathrooms make it stress-free and the kitchen/living room is open-plan and very light and airy so it all felt very spacious and comfortable. Cris was lovely and very helpful and accomodating, explaining everything for me and giving recommendations and directions that were very useful. I felt safe and able to relax.

It is centrally located in easy walking distance to many sites. The room was very nice, as were the shared areas. Everything was very clean. Looks like they are doing renovations on some of the hostel. I had a private room with a bath. The hostel is nice and quiet. There are supermarkets and plenty of food places in the area. The owner was always quickly responsive to any messages that I sent her, including recommendations on where to go.

There are no staff on site, but the text support is quick, helpful and very efficient. They organised taxis to and from the airport for us, really helpful.

The hostel was very centrally located, lovely and quiet, clean and comfortable with super communal areas with a view across some trees. Felt very safe, and convenient location.

Some of the guests kept forgetting to close the elevator/lift doors when leaving which meant having to use steep stairs to climb down as it prevented the elevator from being able to come back up. Some instructions to guests on the use of the lift would be advisable. The toilet also had issues flushing and there was a stale smell in the room. But none of this impacted our stay to the extent that we were not happy.

So conveniently located in a great neighbourhood in the centre of bustling Buenos Aires! We felt safe walking around the area from morning to night. We were lucky enough to have room 12 which was separate from the other rooms and felt like a unit all of our own. The staff were so helpful from the very beginning, Juan, Cristina and Yanina were in contact with us via email and whatsapp and gave very clear directions for gaining entry and arranging after hours access to our room due to late arrival from the flight. We found it to be very cost effective and allowed for our preferred option of having an independent stay with cooking/kitchen facilities on hand to self cater if we wished. It was very quiet and not like a typical hostel, everyone was very respectful and friendly. Would highly recommend!

This is the best of all the places that I stayed in BA. The bed is very comfortable. The Internet is fast which I like because I am working remotely. They also have a work desk. It's like a home away from home. Cristina is very responsive with my questions and very accommodating with the different changes I made. Juan is very helpful too.

- We had some twists while checking in. On booking, it says the checkin starts from 11:30, we arrived at the exact time but couldn’t enter the main entrance of the building. Because the hotel is actually on 3rd floor of a building, which needs code to enter. We waited outside for like 10 minutes (the weather is a bit cold), and the owner replied. I would suggest contact them through WhatsApp first, then you don’t have to go through this. (Also, the owner tried to contacted me through WhatsApp, but the number I left on booking isn’t the one I use for WhatsApp, so it added another twist) - They asked paying in cash, in dollars or euros. They accept pesos too, but if you pay in pesos, you have to pay 21% more for including Tax. Though we know on booking.com that we need to pay in cash, but it doesn’t say they accept dollars and euros mainly and that if you pay in pesos, they’ll charge more. We exchange a decent amount of pesos but ended in not being able to use it, it didn’t feel good. - The private bathroom is not attached in the room we stayed, it’s another room in front of ours, which is a bit inconvenient. Also there were bugs (around 5) during our stay there.

- I like the decorations, which makes people feel chill. I also like their small lounge & kitchen area, you can cook (they have pans, pods, utensils, plates fridge) and enjoy the view through the French windows. (The only thing I would mentioned is the microwave function a bit weirdly, you have to try a little bit to make it work. Once you figured it out, it works 80% of the time) - The owner fixed problem soon. They have water system issues (no cold water but only extreme hot water), but got fixed right away when we reported.

I booked this accommodation but I was not advised an access code was required to enter the building. No code was sent so I spent two hours walking the city trying to find an alternative place to stay. A bit of a disaster.

We booked a room at this property five months before our stay and when we showed up on the day of our stay and they told us on WhatsApp that due to their overbooked they had canceled our reservation. They even refused to talk to us in person and wouldn’t even let us inside the apartment while many homeless people loitering around the property. DO NOT RENT AT THIS PROPERTY!!!

Nothing much not to like! We thought we might bump into more travelers in the common spaces to connect, but it was a VERY sleepy hostel when we were there, and honestly felt like a hotel. So, I guess that was the main thing missing from the experience for me! It could have been a bit cleaner, but also I know these old buildings are tough to get all the way clean after many, many years of use.

In our initial room (we paid for a private room), the AC wasn't working. When we told the host, we were moved to the room across the hall which was a lot larger and the AC worked great! Pretty comfortable bed and this new room gave us plenty of space to unpack a bit as we stayed for 6 nights. The common space was very cute and had most kitchen essentials if you wanted to make a meal there. We didn't attempt a meal so I can't say for sure. It looked like they were getting a second level of common space ready as well - still a bit unfinished. Communication with the hosts was easy via WhatsApp and they were helpful with a few minor requests. Great value.

What a fabulous visit to V&S Hostel Boutique, well located in the centro area of Buenos Aires- close to metro and bus in a nice neighbourhood. The room and facilities were clean and beautifully presented. Cristina provided excellent communication and helpful recommendations and tips throughout our stay. A brilliant place to stay and cannot recommend enough.
