It is significantly cheaper to book directly than using booking.com since booking,com quote the price is USD and Posada Larsen use the MEP rate to convert into pesos I would also recommend bringing cash from Buenos Aires as a 10% surcharge is applied to card/paypal payments. The Western Union in El Calafate is unreliable

The Posada is beside a hostel, which served food late into the evening. I think the cooking area (barbecue) is outdoors, just beside rooms 1-4 of the Posada. We stayed at this posada twice and on both occasions, there was loud talking and laughter until about 1:00am in the morning. We used ear plugs, but still we were disturbed by the house next door. This was not the fault of the Posada, so we still rated it really high.

Clean, comfortable, good location, with a beautiful view overlooking the lake and mountains. Lovely hosts who get back to you right away, providing support for tours, bus schedules, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast is delicious and abundant, with a variety of cakes, fruit, home made yogurt, granola, and eggs, if requested.

Room runs very small so it's hard to put 2 luggages. It's also a bit out of town (10min walk). There are few restaurants close but not much. It was a bit loud at night despite the fact that you're not downtown - there is a hostal right behind

Staff were very helpful and helped reorganized our booking since there was a misunderstanding with the type of room we booked. Breakfast was good and you can organize lunch boxes for your day.

We were leaving too early in the morning to have breakfast and host provided with takeaway plate. Host also left our room open when we returned late for another night. Host also offered to arrange for a taxi if needed. Plenty of hot water in the showers and availability to make tea/coffee in the room. Place was outside the hustle and bustle of town but walkable distance. Views of the lake and mountain spectacular.

Great little retreat on the hill. Rooms were cozy and comfortable with ample storage area, tea maker and a great view! The staff was sooooo friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff accommodated our need to eat early for our tour. They also offered box lunches for excursions as well. It was a short walk to the Main Street in town, and there were closer restaurants as well. Wifi was excellent.

Our room was quite small and not well designed in our opinion. It would benefit from a shelf or two. The heat seemed to be on constantly, which made it uncomfortable at times in the summer. There were no drawers that I recall. If there are two of you and you are traveling with hiking boots, warm clothing, etc., the space feels real tight. The breakfast was just ok.

The staff was great and the location is very good. Somewhat removed from the town center, which we appreciated.

Lovely Posada only 10min walk from the centre. Beautiful views of the lake from bedroom and breakfast room. Irina, the manager was very welcoming and helpful before check-in and throughout our stay. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.
