How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I stayed in 4-5 different hotel before in the same area. They were nice but I liked Capricorno more than the others. Location is perfect near to metrostation and very close to Stephanplatz. Breakfast, wifi and room was perfect. I like the breakfast team especially number 89 and 39. 3 oclock tea and cakes was very good. Value for money but excellent service and facility. Thank you

The air con didn't work and the view from my room wasn't great.
The breakfast was excellent, the location was great for the city centre and the staff were absolutely superb.

Excelente Hotel! Staff super friendly. One of the best! Breakfast has plant based milk and lactose free yogurt! What an amazing experience! Loved all the aspects of the hotel!

A truly pleasant stay. If you are looking for the best location to spend your days in Wien, Capricorno is only a breath away from the main centre of the city, either you want to walk or take the U-Bahn, with the station being just across the street from the hotel. Spacious rooms, really clean hotel and the stars of our stay, the personnel. Something that the ownership and the management should be proud of, as they made our stay remarkable. From Matthias and the reception team, to Andrea and the rest of the ladies who served us in the breakfast room always with the warmest smile and eagerness. Last but not least, the cleaning service. Spotless room cleaning and always on the requested time. We thank you all for a great stay and we will definitely come back on our next visit in Wien.

Hair shampoo could be offered.
Amazing hotel. Perfect location. Warm welcoming faces. Wonderful room with plenty of space, warm, facing the river. Breakfast with a satisfying variety and with the ideal people serving for starting your day. Parking under the hotel. Quiet hotel, 10 minutes walking distance from the Cathedral with a lot of restaurants and coffee shops around. For sure my choice when I'll visit Vienna in the future.

Every staff member genuinely was concerned about the experience of the guest and made you feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and recently remodeled. The bathrooms are great and have very good lighting. Location is excellent.

The room had a mini bar but l would have liked coffee, tea facilities.
The staff were all very helpful. The reason for the trip was my girlfriend's birthday and they surprised us with cake, wine and birthday wishes.

Everything was perfect, the location! Close to everything on foot, area 1. In front of the canal. There is also public transportation under the hotel. The hotel is clean, the staff is very nice and helpful in everything. A very satisfying and varied breakfast

because it’s on a Main Street, it was quite noisy, even during the night.
prime location. very central with loads of restaurants and bars within a walk distance. Also with a train on the door steps. stuff were incredible helpful, very friendly.

1. some facilities might seem dated but it was not a problem for us.
1. This is not a luxury stay - but wins my heart for its service and warmth. Hotel staff feels like one big family. We were here across Christmas and I had difficulty booking dinner/meals across Christmas as I did not know places will get booked up way in advance...hence I reached out to the hotel for help. They tried so hard to secure us seats at restaurants and I am very grateful once again..life saver. 2. There were snacks/tea provided during afternoon. great for recharge during winter. 3. Room was large and clean. If you need additional equipment etc, you can always reach out to the hotel staff for help:) 4. Once again hotel staff were all so welcoming and nice. Thank you guys! 5. Location was pretty central! But away from the noisy st steven area.

Very thin and soft pillows but I am sure I could have asked for firmer ones so not really their fault.
Nice hotel in an excellent location. Close to the shopping and dining areas and the Christmas markets. Nice room with balcony. Even though winter it was not too cold and nice to sit out on the balcony in the morning and watch the people going by. Lovely friendly waiter mad breakfast a pleasure each morning. I did not ask her name but she is bubbly and lovely and a true asset.

Amazing stay at Capricorno. while it’s a small hotel, every single staff was so attentive and warm. Our family totally enjoyed our stay and we have to compliment the breakfast team, the selections are of very high quality and on the second day, they know what each of us wants for our drink and even the type of eggs… and thank you to Marco, if there is a 6-star you would have deserved it.
