The hotel itself is about a 10 minute walk from Salzburg's main train station. Excellent if you ate travelling in to Salzburg from any other European destinations. The lobby and bar/restaurant area are both spacious and have a lovely view of the river, which is a nice walk and about a 5/10 minute walk from the Mirabell Garten or in to the main centre of Salzburg. The room itself, although on the slightly smaller side does have enough room for you to store all your lugguage. The room comes with a safe for storing those items you need to keep safe on your holiday. The bed was super comfy and the tv had access to a lot of English speaking channels, which was handy on a night time before dozing off. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff at their friendliness and happiness to help with any questions. The brekfast also offered is a continental style and offers lots of different options.I would absolutely stay here again. Also, look out for The Sound of Music Mural at the top of the street near the flats as you leave the hotel, it's great.

It’s time the pillows went in the bin and the pictures on booking.com indicated we would have a room overlooking the river, however we overlooked the back of some buildings so were a little disappointed. That being said we weren’t in the room for very long so wasn’t the end of the world.

Well, I typically skip breakfast in hotels, but this time I was out of time, so we had breakfast there. Unfortunately, for the price of the breakfast - options were very limited. No warm food at all (like typical scrambled eggs or sausages).

Motel One keeps up with its standard of providing the same pleasant and predictable experience to all hotels of the chain. Salzburg Hotel is not an exception.

Heating was on full blast when we arrived in the room even though outside temp. was not so cold (6-8C). Room was very warm so we had turn-off the heating and open the windows during our stay (4 nights). It was the same with the other rooms we booked and the whole hotel in my opinion was excessively heated. I find that personally a waste of energy.

Clean and trendy boutique hotel. Location was quite convenient and has beautiful views of the river and old town. Breakfast was superb and generous. I would stay here again when in Salzburg.
