Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe room was huge for a single person, very clean and well maintained. Close to the bus station and takes just 20 minutes to reach the centre by walk.

GermanyThere is not much that I didn't like but maybe the location could have been a little better since it took me some time to get to the hotel from the train station or to the center from the hotel but since there would have been busses for that right next to the hotel that isn't too big of a deal actually.
Even tho this hotel is quite simple it was perfect to me. I traveled solo but I had a room for three people which mean that I had enough space. The breakfast offered everything you need and the view from my room was stunning.

MoldovaOne gets one soap bar for all the needs regardless the lengths of stay, ofc no shower gels etc. Beds are very narrow, could be difficult to accommodate a big guy.
It's not a hotel in a proper sense of the word. However, toilets and showers are private, room are spacious, a bit dated but clean enough furniture. Everything is very basic, but very good for the price. Served by public transport, 30 minutes walking distance from city center. Breakfast is nice, no hot food, no eggs or omelette, but they give you yougurt, salami, cheese, juice, fruits and coffee

United KingdomOlympic Village is outside the CBD and so transport in and out can be a hassle. However, bus stop Landesportszentrum is also on the hop off-hop on bus tour. The problem is that bus route J does NOT include Bhf. However, bus M to Stadion does (just up the road).
Great value for money!!! Spacious and airy with 5 star views of the mountains. Basic but not Spartan (even has a lift unlike most hostels in Paris). Friendly manager and great breakfast. Bus stop for route J is over the road and this route offers a great north-south transect of Innsbruck city "from peak to peak". The legacy of the Games was apparent in the use and condition of the entire complex today.

GermanyVERY noisy - windows do not seal against sound; nice that start/finish of the race was right there - BUT - if you can't sleep because of the loud music you Hera through and through, it does not help; avoid when there is an event there and if you need a good rest; rooms quite outdated and very simple - this is fine, but not at 100+ Euros per night
Location was great for the IATF Trail Festival!

LithuaniaIt’s not even a hotel, they use the empty athletes rooms to get extra money. That’s why breakfast is only available until 9:15 a.m. This is crazy. There is no reception desk, so I was just lucky to meet some man who escorted me to the cabinet to check in. 40 euros per night is a completely inadequate price (in other cities in Austria I got a normal, comfortable hotel rooms for that price), as the room reminds me a dormitory, the pillows are completely worn out and thin like pancakes, I have never seen such poor pillows in any hostel or hotel. I had to get free toiletries and all I got was one little piece of soap. I had to "travel" with him on the route sink - shower. There was no shower mat, so I had to lay another towel on the floor. The door was without lock so I didn’t feel very secure. It doesn’t matter that outsiders can’t enter the room, but I would have felt safe if I had been able to lock myself from the inside because one day someone was trying to get into my room. Is it so hard to recognize room numbers? But the worst part is that there are matches on the weekend, so you can forget about the rest. And they didn’t even warn and apologize for it. It is very ugly and rude to treat your guests so dismissively. It's not hard to say "Sorry, there will be a match, so it will be noisy". The match started at about 4 p.m., the noise was horrible, then it ended at about 8 p.m. and the athletes returned to their rooms and started a party with music that shook the entire sports center. I couldn’t even complain to the administration because they only work until 8 p.m. One of the worst experiences of accommodation. I would never ever come back.
Breakfast was really good. Bus stop is near. WiFi is ok.

NetherlandsWhat they don't mention here is that they don't consider themselves a hotel, simply a place to stay, adjust your expectations to that. The bathroom was mouldy, theres no actual curtains, and the pillows were so thin they might as well not have been there. When I checked in in the evening I had to wait cause there was a hockey game going on in the complex, not really what you want to do after hours and hours of travelling.
Location is reasonably convenient, especially if you're ok taking the bus. The mattrass was comfortable, breakfast was alright, rooms were spacious. Aside from the bathroom needing some mould cleaner, the room was clean.
