Please can there be REAL orange juice for breakfast. For the price I would expect coffee making facilities in the rooms, however there is a lounge where you can help yourself to coffee.

The location is perfect for Durnstein and cycling. It is on the Eurovelo 6 cycle route and they have a garage to safely store your bikes.

I booked 8 rooms and one couple had to cancel do to illnesses on the last minutes. I asked the owner to give us a break on the rate but she refused due to short notice. They had served breakfast, but didn’t put out enough food on the table. Yes they refilled it slowly, but we had a feeling that they didn’t want us to take more.

Great location, three minute walk from the town gate and trailhead for the castle. Staff was helpful and friendly at check-in and checkout. Breakfast was very nice, continental. Great view from window and balcony.

Breakfast was quite good and there were cereals and fruit in addition to cold cuts of meat and cheese, but somehow we did expect a few options for a cooked breakfast, probably because when we stay in B&Bs in our country this is quite normal. On our first day, we asked a young employee if we could sit out in the garden as it says on the website, and we got a very curt one-word answer: 'no'!

The property is an attractive property, well-maintained, and very clean. The room was quite pleasant and the furnishings and pictures added a touch of quality. The bathroom was quite simple, but everything worked. Breakfast is in a lovely, well-lit room with good views of Durnstein. The location is fine - really just a short hop into Durnstein and the underpass makes it all quite safe. The neighbourhood is quiet and pleasant. We were able to park outside the B&B, perhaps because it was the end of the season and there were fewer guests... even so, paid parking on the street was really not expensive - 2 euro for 24 hours must be the cheapest we've ever seen! The owners took time to speak to us during breakfast, and that was very nice. It made up for the checking-in which was a little cold in that we picked up the key and information sheet from the unmanned reception - but I suppose this is understandable in a small-scale property.

Bathroom was too bare and basic. The pillow was very small and a bit uncomfortable.

The staff was very helpful and friendly especially Peter who spoke English very well. The room was comfortable and spacious although the bathroom was very basic. Lovely view from our bedroom window. Breakfast was good and abundant.

I was not so happy with the room design, it was super basic and I just have an impression that the rooms could be a bit more cozy and more charming than what it is. Some small details would do the job. However, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The location was really great and breakfast very tasty. There were no eggs for breakfast, maybe i missed that a bit but otherwise, everything was nice.

A mirror in the room would have been a plus (as we were participating a wedding). We had an early check out and it wasn’t that clearly informed when the reception was open. Could have ofcourse communicated this from our side the day before during the breakfast… :)

I loved the friendly and professional staff who even took care of preparing a vegan breakfast for me, for which I asked. I loved the warm welcome and the friendly, warm goodbye. The bed and pillow were very comfortable as was the whole simple but traditionally designed room.
