How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was great and we appreciated the portable heaters but some installed/ducted heating wouldve just made it perfect.

Only thing was the sound from the train line, the windows were good at blocking out the noise though.

- It was difficult to find an available park when first arriving as it seemed others were taking up spaces so I parked elsewhere at first to ensure I could access the room. - We were on the ground level and when there was someone showering upstairs it vibrated through the pipping during, nothing too disruptive but enough that made us wake up and think of what it could be.
- The property was clean, easy to access and despite no reception all necessary information was messaged to us before arrival. - Very short walking distance to Chapel Street stores and South Yarra Railway for easy transport to the city. - Despite concerns of the railway close by it never caused any disturbance to us at all through put our stay.

Very plain building with no facilities, but perfect for a place to just sleep.
Close to South Yarra Train Station, shops, restaurants and coffee shops.

I didn't receive the code for the drop box and when I called and told the receptionist she implied I had been sent it and that I should check my email and bookings.com again to get it, which I had already done, and she said that everyone that day seemed to be having problems and needed to check their emails properly .. There was also another man staying at the apartments and he had the same issue and asked if I had the receptionists phone number so it clearly wasn't my fault but perhaps a technical issue on their end? In the end she resent it but it still wasn't a pleasant start to the stay after a 10 hour drive to get there...
I chose the apartments as it had parking for a large car and I'd stayed before and was happy with it. Great location, close to shops, the Prahran Markets and public transport and most importantly clean.

I had trouble regulating the shower temperature. Also it would be great if there were more kitchen supplies e.g. a larger bowl for fruit or salad. I also really appreciate when an apartment has a few basic groceries such as salt and pepper, Olive oil and instant coffee.
Very clean and spacious apartment in a great location. Staff were responsive also.

Location was great. Walking distance to trains and trams. Lovely restaurants close by. Bed was very soft and comfortable. Free parking right outside your apartment.

Could you please spray the bedroom door with some WD40? It has a very obnoxious squeak!

The parking wasn’t signed so I was a bit confused whether it was the right place to park. Other than that, no faults for me! Be aware that there is no lift so if you are on top level it’s quite a lot of stairs (request a ground level room if you don’t want that). The Espresso machine was broken (the water coming through was cold, wouldn’t heat up) and used cheap pods so was a pointless addition which was disappointing. Get real Nespresso pods.
Super clean, good water pressure in shower, great location with easy walking distance to public transport and heaps of great cafes and shopping, quiet, bed was comfortable and included decent quality pillows. Parking was super convenient

Everything was great :)
Location was extremely easy to find and very accessible to public transport. Most shops/cafes were within walking distance. Parking spot was allocated for 1 car park which was very convenient. Accommodation was very clean and tidy.

Instructions for parking were a little confusing. Entry driveway is twoway but we thought we had to 'go around the back' namely, access from a laneway.

It is a little old but they’ve done a good job and updating it to a certain extent
We were just in Melbourne for a night and it was a great location for us to see friends and family. Nice to have your own kitchen and living room for extra space .
