How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was a musky smell but there nothing a scented candle couldn’t fixed :)

The beds needs replacing very uncomfortable and old. We arrived on a 41 degree day would have been nice if the had the air con on before my arrival as it took 4 hours to cool the room down

We purchased a google box to watch TV as the only channels available were free to air and sky news. This wasn't a problem for us, but might be for someone else.

The property was clean overall. However, there was a foul odour within the house. Thanks to my diffuser which made our stays comfortable after all.
Staff was friendly and bathroom was very clean.

The cost of the accommodation was quite high but we were expecting to pay premium price during Christmas period.
The 2 bedroom apartment was comfortable and spacious enough for 4 adults and we were able to have our dog with us.

I was very upset at how dirty the swimming pool was - it obviously badly needed cleaning. I have 4 grandsons who would have really enjoyed the swimming pool. I have a pool of my own & know only too well how to the clean a pool. To me it was unbelievable that at “peak season” when this Motel is charging us to top price that one of their top Facilities for summertime, was left filthy & unusable. The other thing was that the security screen door on my room 17 could not be closed or locked. Plus the main door lock was in very bad repair & needed replacing. There was no spare toilet roll so I had to phone reception - I have never had to do this as there is always a spare toilet roll - that’s basic stuff to my mind. I requested a quiet room away from traffic noise & this was good. However at night I could not leave my balcony door open for fresh air, due to the very noisey air compressor for the aircon in the room next door - there it was on my balcony right outside my bedroom. What more can I say!!!
The only reason I stayed was because my relatives live at Wyongah. So it is the closest location.

Great place for a stopover, especially as we have a dog. Plenty of space to park our trailer. Very clean and comfortable with the added bonus of a restaurant on site. Staff were very helpful. Great value for our needs

Nothing, everything was great.
The staff, especially Aleisha, was so good to us, found us a room on short notice, fixed up a problem we had all with a bright smile on her face, nothing was a problem, thank you so much Aleisha, you have a great personality. The staff in the restaurant were also so lovely to us, our meals on both nights in the restaurant were amazing, cleaning staff in the morning were very bright and happily restocked our room for us.

The fine pebbles/stones paving the courtyard and parking area easily transported by footwear into the living spaces. Furnishings and decor are looking 'dated'.
A convenient location for the vicinity in which I needed to be. The tariffs were reasonable.

Although it looked clean, it doesn't have a seal across the toilet indicating that it's been cleaned before new guest arrived. It had coffee and tea but no milk. No welcoming booklet/brochure with information about hotel rules, Wi-Fi password and it was written to me on piece of paper.

Windy night and the front door and screen rattled but easily temp fixed with cardboard into the gap. could be fixed with door seal added.
Room was quite large and had microwave, plates & cutlery, plus table and lounge. New carpet, comfy new mattresses and fresh linen. Could not hear any of the neighbours.

The shower is over the bath so a bit difficult to get in and out for older people without something to hold on to
