Information on the hotel facilities was lacking - we had parking included in our stay and it was not explained we had to swap the parking ticket over to get it validated. No information about where to find pool towels and no specific place to park when arriving at the hotel for check-in. There should be at least 2 parking spaces available for guests only, thankfully the gentleman at the downstairs front desk was very helped and explained the parking to us quickly for us to not have our car in the no standing zone for long. He also took our suitcase as the car park was across the road to the hotel. Novotel should call guests prior to arrival and explain all of this as it would allow for a stress free guest experience. The table tennis table is also located outside the lifts. I would have thought this would be a ohs issue -we saw the table tennis ball rolling towards the lifts which isn't safe for guests walking by or kids.

Location is excellent, right in the heart of the city.Staff were pleasant and friendly. Room was clean and tidy.

Cleanliness of the room really let it down for us. We arrived and could see the desk hadn't been wiped and there was bits of food all over it & where you put your suitcase. The shower head was covered in a white build up that could be scratched off. The shampoo/body wash bottles were dirty and the body wash was empty (no other form of soap provided like a bar of soap), there was a build up of dust & noticeable balls of collected dust behind the bedside table when we plugged our devices in to charge. And although we booked for 3 people, only 2 towels were provided.

The location was amazing, we were close to everything we wanted to visit in the city and weren't too far of a walk from Flinders St Station. The reception staff were extremely friendly, accommodating & professional. My son loved the ping pong table and we loved there was a bar in the reception area.
