The quality of coffee and breakfast breads.

Location excellent. In keeping with such tasteful style better quality coffee beans (used in greater quantity) along with gourmet breads would enhance breakfast.

The Staff were Amazing, from the welcome at the door to the goodbyes on leaving ,the food was very good and the open fire in the dining room was just what we needed as it was very cold, The veranda was a nice place to enjoy our wine and cheese platter in the sun, for our 2 night stay, close drive to Armidale for a walk, and close to visit the the near by water falls. The big hall as it is called was just what we needed 2 open fireplaces, lots of seating to sit enjoy a wine and chat with other guests if you wished to, or just to sit and read. Only 7 accommodating rooms in all , in this charmer of a house, so relaxing. we would recommend a stay and we will return again, would love to see the beautiful gardens in full bloom.

What a lovely hotel set back off the road with its own gardens. We had a wine tasting on arrival, a fantastic evening meal and a great night's sleep.

A small thing but two mornings in a row they seemed to burn my toast or perhaps I should have said to them that I preferred it lightly done but other than that I had no issues with the food.

The food was great and of good quality. The breakfast which was hot was much appreciated as opposed to cereals and bread. My partner and I really liked staying at this place - out in the country but not too far from country Armidale. Inside the facility we loved being able to sit in the lounge area on comfortable chairs in front of a large open fireplace. As the kitchen was just in the next room the smell of food being cooked was sensually stimulating.

My only grouch - probably not their fault is that their restaurant provides only a restricted service on Mondays and Tuesdays.

This is a wonderful place to stay when in Armidale. Staff could not be more helpful and the rooms are excellent, roomy, comfortable, and very well equipped. Visit the nearby waterfalls for walking or just the cellar door and walk the grounds. Breakfasts are excellent. This is a magnificent old house.

I would have been pleased to have larger towels in the bathroom, but really appreciated the heated bathroom floor. No cold feet!

It’s a beautiful authentic property. Superb dinner and a complimentary muscat or port for those who ordered dessert. We did and enjoyed both dessert and a muscat!

Unfortunately the weather was very wet and stormy so we didn’t have an opportunity to walk around the impressive property.

It was not very comfortable watching the TV. You basically have to sit on the side of the bed with no back support.

The carpet in our room was buckling so was a trip hazard. The room was very dark and the bathroom door could not be held ajar in any way. A door stopper might have helped.
