No reception - but I've heard the new management plans to reinstate it very soon. At least there was a 24-hour number to call in case I needed anything although I actually didn't. No lift nor concierge - had to carry my heavy bags upstairs myself. Only one flight but still a struggle for me. I booked for its proximity to a friend who couldn't put me up herself but it's not close to anything else. Besides the hotel itself, with its restaurant and bar, there wasn't much besides a supermarket, a cafe and maybe a couple of other "local" shops or maybe a post office, in the immediate area. They have a vending machine in the lobby and a coffee bar open in the mornings but it only offered light snacks like muffins. The TV system was supposed to link to my phone or laptop so I could cast my streaming services. Tried with both devices, it would look like it was connecting, so I know I followed the instructions correctly, but it would then disconnect before anything useful actually happened. No breakfast options on-site besides the small coffee shop in the lobby - restaurant was closed until lunchtime. It seems like a poor location for public transport or sight-seeing. Luckily for me, I had a hire car already and was in Canberra to see a friend, not the sights. All this might sound like there was a lot wrong but that's not really so. I regard most of it as minor inconveniences. I found easy workarounds for everything I needed (eg watching Netflix on my own device instead of the room's TV, and having meals with my friend). The car hire doubled the cost of my stay in Canberra but I needed that to take my friend places anyway (she doesn't drive). I would happily stay there again.

Very clean and comfortable and housekeeping staff was often nearby so easy to ask when I needed more coffee sachets. I liked the bar and restaurant on-site although I only ate there once. Plenty of parking, both in the secure section (which was easy to use and I always found a space, they mean it when they say no reservation needed) and the off-street car park right outside. I found it very quiet (although another guest told me his neighbour's TV could be heard through the wall). I was pleasantly surprised how fast the hot water came through.

Our toilet was a little grubby under the rim on arrival, but that's the only negative. All other facilities were very clean.

The bed was very comfortable and the towels were changed daily. Our bed linen was changed twice during our week's stay, which was great! The room was cosy, and we only needed to turn the heater on occasionally, despite the chilly nights.

The bathroom was very tight for three of us getting ready for bed / check-out. (But amazingly efficient!)

We stayed 3 nights but the noise levels around the hotel were terrible on the first night(Tuesday night) It sounded like noisy trucks or motor bikes coming and going. Was it garbage trucks working at the nearby shops or something? We couldn’t work it out. It was about 2.30 am when I finally got to sleep. The next two nights were quieter.

The bed is very comfortable and I love all the space to unpack and put things away. I hate living out of a suitcase. Shower is excellent and the bathroom floor stays dry. The e hotel concept suits us … no key to find. Everything we needed was there. Service level was perfect. We appreciated fresh towels and empty bins but there’s No need to make the bed for us.

Very bad smell from bathroom sewage fill the room. My parking spot was so tiny and other parking spot was not marked or lined properly and it had just to circle.

Security was a bit worrisome. The front entrance was completely unlocked at midnight, even though we were given the door code. Coming into the hotel with no front desk and the sliding doors unlocked late at night was unsettling, even if cameras were installed.

Great to be back after the renovations. Good to see Lisa at the coffee shop.

Door between the room (to allow it to interconnect if needed) was paper thin and we could hear every word said by our ‘neighbours.’ Pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable.

Location was great for Yarralumla where we were visiting, clean room and comfortable bed. Great shower too. Next door to a small shopping centre with Coles, cafe, bakery and other shops. We had no problem checking in at all but we did arrive during the day. The room locations are listed on the concrete pylon next to each set of stairs. Use your phone torch to see where your room is if you arrive at night.

One minor criticism: the door between rooms allows you to hear everything in the next room -- which often won't be a problem, unless someone has the TV or radio on quite loud all evening!

Tasteful furnishings, comfortable bed, clean room, plentiful hot water in the shower (so valuable after a long motorcycle ride in cold weather!).
