How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Underground parking was great, but it meant a long trip up stairs with our luggage - even to our ground floor apartment. The only lift was signposted 'do not use - unsafe'
The apartment was very comfortable. Comfortable seating in the lounge, which not all places have. Convenient to restaurants and shops. Very well equipped kitchen - I didn't need to add anything from the stuff we carry with us.

Arrived later than 5pm (latest that staff desk was manned) discovered bath towels not present in our room. Left phone message with owner/staff who returned call and apologised. Issue was rectified.
This hotel is located within walking distance of a varied selection of eateries. Our room (no. 10) was a good size modern design with spa bath/shower and balcony (locking door). Comfortable bed. Wifi/tv available.

The bed was very uncomfortable, however we did call your front desk who advised where to find the extra quilts that we used as mattress topper that made it bearable. Perhaps you could install these toppers as standard. We also found we could verily hear other peaole in there rooms which distracted any romance plans as we thought if they can hear us

I mention this only as information sharing for those with mobility issues. The shower is over the bath.
Very clean. Great king sized bed! It was billed as a motel room only as they have appartments upstairs. Everything you could need.

The tv was basic and out dated. There were no fly screens for doors or windows.
The staff were lovely and helpful and went out of their way to help and make us comfortable. The location was great just across the road from the beach and a short walk to the shops and restaurants. Comfortable unit and great for the price.

The bedroom was next to the nextdoor’s bathroom, we can hear the water running through the pipes & toilet when they use them. We had to sleep in the lounge to get undisturbed sleep.

The bedroom didn't have separate temperature control. Was a little stuffy at night. A little dresser table (with mirror) in the bedroom would be good. The entrance to the apartment was a bit awkward and dark if check in was after sunset hours.
Good location. Apartment was spacious with a separate bedroom and lounge/ dining area. Washer and dryer in room were great to have.

I knew one staircase but didn’t expect the one from the parking garage as well. All fine but might have responded to email re ground floor room had I realised as we’re old farts. Lol

I would have liked a clean towel each day, the second day we were each using a towel that was still wet from the day before.
I loved having a warm bath as I was feeling weary. I loved to be able to make a tea or coffee. The room was very private, quiet and the bed very large and comfortable. The aircon was set at a comfortable temp (26C). We really appreciated under cover parking for our hire car’s safety. We had a fantastic breakfast closeby but I don’t remember the name of cafe, it was off on a side street.

Very small space, people walking past could see in, blinds not great (door opening and stuck on blinds) not much privacy in that respect. No space or facilities to hang up towels etc and luggage couldn’t fit in room.

Our room was down a side entrance with the ‘view’ being a high fence. Rooms on the floor above probably had a view towards the town and the sea
