    Nothing really.

Clean bedding with refurbished bathroom. 10 minutes from Hunter valley with nearby supermarket and dinning. Self service breakfast was basic but good enough. We though it was an economical choice for 1-2 nights stay for our hunter valley trip.

'Breakfast included' needs some clarification on the booking site. It's 'help yourself' on the kitchen (not complaining about the choices), so being prepared to a hostel style 'breakfast' is a must. Not a negative per se, just a bit unexpected.

Surprisingly quirky hotel (but was expecting that judging by the photos), like stepping into the past. Decor is eclectic, antique, lots of small things to explore, very warm ambient.

The stairs from the carpark to the rooms can be daunting in the rain.

I love the general vibe, the decor is eclectic and fun. The bed was very comfy, as were the pillows. And the room was spotlessly clean. Check-in was quick and easy with a pleasant staff member. Great location, walking distance to the shopping centre and restaurants.

I would only be a fuss bucket if I suggested providing some yoghurt as an option for breakfast, as the options for breakfast were very adequate - cereal, muesli, oats, fruit, toast, eggs, jams and juice.

We have stayed at Vine Valley Inn a number of times when visiting the Hunter Valley. It's quirky, clean and in a great location. The kitchen and breakfast facilities are very convenient. We got the king room for the same price as the queen and the bed was very comfortable.

The room was mostly clean but when I went to move the queen bed up against the single to stop my toddler falling out of it, there was rubbish, an empty bottle & thick dust. The ceiling fan was also covered in thick dust.

The decor was lovely & the kitchen amazing! The room size was great & bathroom perfect. Amenities were great too.

Smelled of mould and was dusty, throw pillows and lamps were very musty had to move them to other end of room and take antihistamines before sleeping.

Continental breakfast included which we both didn’t partake in…would have been nicer to see individual portions not shared jars of spreads and margarine.

Very eclectic style which I loved

A little noisy from traffic. Be aware that there are lots of steps for those who may struggle with luggage etc.

Good size room, good ensuite with very good shower, and a great king-size bed. Breakfast provided included eggs and facilities to cook in the communal kitchen. Easy walking distance to pubs and various restaurants.

There was not a soul in sight when we arrived and we had to call someone on a mobile when checking in, who sent (the cleaner?) to check us in. And they charged me more than what I booked online for. I liked the retro furniture concept which is why I gave this Inn a try, but there was a bit too much of it so it felt like an op shop. And some of it was so old it should be binned. The carpet needs replacing too in my opinion, it would make it feel much nicer and cleaner. The room was quite clean except the fan vent in the bathroom was caked with dust. The old couches in the room may have been clean but how can you tell when they look so old? I didn’t feel comfortable sitting on them for that reason. Also the room had a definite smell which I didn’t like and it was a tad noisy at night with the traffic. It also isn’t friendly for anyone with mobility issues who can’t walk up 2 flights of stairs.

The room was a great size, the bathroom was modern, there was a kitchen if we wanted to use it for breakfast, reheating, etc. It was good value for money.

Quaint and amazingly comforting decor. Like walking back in time to another era. Beds were comfortable, linen clean and fresh, bathroom clean. Room very homely.
