Rude staff during breakfast. So rude that I cancelled my breakfast for remaining days after 1st day and ate outside.

The Crane is an exceptional place to stay, if you have an opportunity, stay at least once!! The views are spectacular, the coastline amazing, restaurants great, entertainment every night, yet has a serene vibe to it.

Room towels and teas and coffees not replenished, lack of shower gels and shampoos etc these had to be requested almost on a daily basis

I didn't like the fact there was no 3pin socket in the room. They need to update that. Also I think they should at least put a bottle of water in the fridge.

We booked late due to a cancelled flight and chose the Crane because of its reputation and position to the airport, even though a room was £500 per night. On arrival we were greeted by concierge (tick) but then afterwards met with disinterested desk staff. We were shown to our first room which was not made up, dreary and the furnishings were worn and in some cases the fabric was ripped. We returned to the desk and requested a change in room ( no apology ). Allocated and taken to our second room to find the room had already been taken, thankfully the holiday makers were not in their room when we entered. Back to the the desk (no apology) We complained and waited for the desk manager. Whilst waiting we did notice the upkeep of the reception area ( hotel in general ) is extremely poor. The soft furnishing in reception are in very poor condition, dirty, dusty and ripped. Mismatched and poor quality. Desk manager approached and offered a $100 resort spend (no apology) which we accepted but still required a decent room given that we expected to vacate at 3 am for an early morning flight ( time now 7.30pm) Duty Manager arrives (does apologise) and promises to resolve. 20 minutes later shown to an upgraded room which was part for their Diamond Collection. Large, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room. All in all a very peculiar space, nothing on the walls, mis matched furniture, 5 different types of wood, kitchen over painted ( from the regular dark brown) in brilliant white. Removable covers on sofa's appeared to have been washed but had shrunk so did not fit properly. Anyway off to get some food.............chased staff to order after being ignored for 20 minutes. Chased staff for order after nothing for a further 20 minutes, reminded staff of order. Told food would be 10-15 minutes...........45 minutes later....... you get the picture Too large, underinvested, no leadership, poor quality....did get our $100 resort spend deducted when leaving (of course)

The hotel is convenient for the Airport and has a number of different style restaurants

The staff is very unprofessional, unfriendly, unwilling to help in any way. The windows of the rooms let in all the outside noise. outside noise. We were given a room that was 5 meters away from the bar and restaurant area of the hotel. We could hear the music completely. Also you can hear all the noise from outside. The facilities are poorly maintained. The bathroom light did not work. We couldn't sleep all night. All this in a room that cost us more than 650 US dollars a night.

The room was poor value , even by Barbados standards . Yes it was large , particularly the bathroom , however it was dingy and depressing in decor , very tired looking and badly in need of an update . No sea or pool view . The jacuzzi bath had no plug and none was forthcoming when requested so that put paid to that . Wine glasses were requested but champagne glasses delivered instead . Apparently this enormous hotel had none . Room service ( burger and chips ) was delivered covered in clingfilm which made it soggy look even more unappetising than it was already . Easily the worst meal eaten in Barbados . The request to alter the taxi. Time for the morning was an impossible task for them , as they didn’t know who they had booked it with . The hairdryer didn’t work . A depressing end to the holiday .

The lady that checked us in and showed us to our room, Joan was very nice . The guy that checked us out the next morning was pleasant enough . The toiletries in the bathroom were good .

Elevator access to the beach was not working and looked like it had been out of service for a while. One of our party was unable to go to the beach because the alternative was using the steps. Please get this fixed.

The top floor with the pool on the roof with a fantastic ocean view was just over the top! We are working on how we can return for a full week in the near future. The "Village" on property make everything convenient. Thanks.

This is nothing we they could have changed, but the beach was full of sea weed and we were not able to swim in the ocean. The resort had a free shuttle to a beach on the other side of the island and that beach is idyllic!

The room was incredibly specious and the view was beautiful from the balcony. We stayed in a studio and enjoyed our welcome gift of wine from the resort. The staff is not only helpful but incredibly friendly.
