Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandYou can hear every noise from the corridor or even another rooms. Really terrible acoustic. Very small sink in the bathroom. No vegetables for breakfast. Broken floor panels in the room.
Very nice and helpful staff. Great localisation, close to the European Parliment and Grand Place. Metro station is also nearby. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area. Fresh towels everyday.

PortugalThe bathroom door doesn't isolate sounds to the room. So, in the room you hear every sound people make inside. The shower head was leaking water all around. Only one plug to charge your devices.

United KingdomIn my opinion, if rooms have T.V sets I think they should also have a kettle, as well as cups, teabags and coffee strips. Unfortunately, when I spent quality time in my room I am unable to make tea for myself.
The breakfast was nice. However, I was expecting more options. The location is nice since the walk to the centre offers plenty of wondrous sights and architecture, particularly the cobblestone pavements and the Mont Des Arts.

United KingdomThe room was very small, felt claustrophobic between two of us - bathroom was on a sliding door that had gaps i.e didn’t shut properly which wasn’t ideal. The hotel is off the main road down a little side street but there is still a fair bit of street noise, I slept with my earplugs in on the Saturday night - this isn’t the hotel’s fault though
Location was really good, only a 15/20 minute walk to Grand Place & was also near a metro station. Bed was extremely comfortable, room was very clean. Staff were very friendly & helpful

RomaniaThe room and especially the bathroom were really small. Stairs are tight, elevator only for 2 persons.
Location is great, close to the city center and European institutions. The personnel in the hotel are very friendly. I gave the mark in close relation to the price, because the room was cheaper than the area. There are some works going on in the hotel lobby, but I guess they will finish them soon (they were working in the morning). I paid 92 eur. If the room was over 100, my rating would be different. And that without the ongoing works downstairs. The area is calm, no traffic, it's on a back tight road, and so it's especially recommended for people who need quiet place to sleep well (as myself). Will I return? Yes, if they keep the same tariffs after renovation too...

GermanyThe only negative point is, there was a horrible smell in the room, when turning on the heating. Was very strange and unpleasant. When I reported it on the 2nd day, the staff wanted to help immediately, but it was evening already. I think, the staff was already aware of this issue, cause when I arrived, the room was cold and the heating was switched off completely. Luckily, I did not spend too much time in the room.
The staff is extremely friendly, safe parking, the location is excellent. The breakfast at 7 Eur is perfect, value for money. The bed was comfortable.

GermanyRooms are extremely small for two people. They are fine if you are one person. Rooms are not sound proof and you can hear everything from next door, upstairs, in the corridor etc.
Excellent location in city center close to all the shop and restaurants. Breakfast was also very good for 7 Euro (eggs, cold meats, cheese, croissant, bread-roll, donut, coffee, orange juice).
