Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThe free parking lot is a little bit far, but this was compensated by a near by one paid but afordable.
There are 3 or 4 pools in the facility. I had used only one that was clean, well maintained and not very crowded. The design of the appartments is very smart, you are not distrubed by any of the neighbours.

BulgariaIt is a little bit overpriced regarding the location (far from the center of Sozopol) and the fact that we had the room cleaned and the sheets changed only once during the stay! There is no parking available nearby. We had to park the car in front of Golden fish camping and walk the hill at least once a day
The hosts were very helpful and kind! The place was very clean! And it accepts dogs! You are allowed to use all the facilities in the complex, e.g. pools, tennis courts, restaurants. We had everything that we need for cooking. We arrived late and we did a self-check-in.

United KingdomWifi did not work AT ALL. It was VERY difficult to find the property. There really does need to be clear instructions on the website. We were walking around for close to an hour before a security guard from the complex asked if we needed help - we were looking very fraught. We were lucky that he spoke English because not many people did (all part of the fun :-)). It was fine for us but people with limited mobility should know there are a lot of VERY steep hills in the complex. The onsite shop is extortionately priced (go to the supermarket which is on the way to the old town). The sofabed was very rudimentary and the duvet for it had dried blood on it, which was minging.
The room was great and had everything we needed. The balcony overlooked the swimming pool which was a nice touch. Location wise you are about a 20 minute walk from the old town and the main Sozopol beach (Harmanite). Going the other direction it is about 15 minutes to another large beach, and there is a small beach right by the complex. The complex itself is huge. It has four swimming pool areas, each with multiple pools, and three of those have a bar/restaurant. Only ate in one of the onsite restaurants once - Casa Mia. The pizza was one of the best I've had. Staff were lovely.

HungaryIt’s located nearby the pools, restaurants and shops, but it’s also quiet, so you won’t disturbed by the loud music from the restaurants. Great place if you’re travelling with kids as you have everything in one place, so basically you don’t have to go out feom the property at all. Overall a nice experience.

BulgariaJust two downsides - any possible parking spot is within walking distance, yes, but still pretty far away to carry your luggage. The beach is narrow and extremely crowded, but this is no fault of the property. If possible, I would recommend the central beach, which is however pretty far away.
The entire residential complex is gorgeous - well maintained gardens everywhere, very clean and comfortable pools, internal transport with electrical vehicles (no cars allowed inside, so it is very quiet and peaceful). Our apartment was spotlessly clean and as good as new, very spacious too. High-end restaurants and shops also inside the property. Own easy access to the beach by elevator. The property is also very pet-friendly.

BulgariaIt's a bit worn out, e.g. the AC was dripping water in the room. The parking situation is truly terrible and this year there are much less people in this area so I can't even imagine what it would be like in other years. The parking spots outside of the complex are all reserved by other owners in the complex I guess.
It's actually a nice Apartment with a nice sea view in a well maintained complex. Beds are comfy. There is everything you might need for a comfortable stay.

BulgariaThe only concern I had was with parking, but this is a common issue for all resorts in Bulgaria. Ultimately, we found a couple of solutions and settled on the municipal parking which costs 12lv per day.
The property is very well maintained. The studio offered a great view, cosy balcony, all necessary appliances, access to a variety of amenities. The interior is tasteful and the whole property is very green, welcoming, safe and beautiful. We travel with our dog and this property is among the very few on the Bulgarian coast where our comfort was not compromised in any way due to including our pet in the plan.

IrelandAll the steps. The hills were very steep. We were able to get the golf buggy’s up to the appartments at times. That was a great help.

BulgariaI don’t like smell in the room and the refrigerator was broken. Administration offer to us another room, but it was only one night more, so I decided to stay in the same room.
I like the view from the balcony and the territory of the complex. It was amazing green, safe and calm, doesn’t feels crowded. Enough place next to the pools during all the day. Room was good.

BulgariaTwo things only - the food in the restaurant was more than terrible and on their birthday they closed my son's favorite pool for the whole day to make a "scene" for the evening... I do recommend eating in Sozopol if you stay in the complex, the food in Santa Marina is generally not eatable.
We come back every year. We love how green and peaceful it is, the location is perfect, the pools are nice, the beach in front of the complex is our favorite. The hot tub this year is a nice addition.
