How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it exceeded my expectations when I arrived, the reception staff were friendly, and I was quickly booked in. My room was lovely and clean and had everything I needed. The bed was simply perfect, large, and comfortable. It had excellent Wi-Fi, tea and coffee and splendid views, my car had been pre-registered, so I was able to drive up to the barrier and automate let in. Later in the evening, I went to the beer house for some beer and an evening meal, again good service, tasty food, and excellent beer. Great night's sleep and was up and ready for breakfast, choice, quality so much to choose from of course excellent service, try the fresh honey still on the cone.

Breakfast is expensive by Bulgarian standards. It was not a pleasant situation when they turned off the coffee machine and lights at exactly 10:00 on the first day (the morning of May 2) when we had not yet finished our breakfast. If I had had time, I would have reported the situation to the hotel manager. There might have been a small playground for babies, I didn't see it.
The hotel is very cozy and comfortable. Having a parking lot is a good option. Staff are helpful.

Everything was perfect!
We loved the hotel and our stay there. My kid wanted to stay and live there :) It is really an extraordinary hotel with a great brewery. We liked everything about the hotel and will definitely visit it again.

Brand new hotel, clean and comfortable. The room had many little details like we had our own iron and ironing board which is not very common in hotels even with many stars.

Room service needs looking at food was always cold when it arrived so stopped using it

Thera is no balcony at the room.
It is very clean and comfortable, the breakfast is amazing! There is very good bavarian biraria next to the hotel.

Amazing room. My daughter loved the huge comfy bed and plush walk in shower. Our premium room had a great view of the city at night. The restaurant is excellent and modestly priced. I loved the Bavarian beer.

We didn't have the time to try the breakfast, which is said to be excellent. But definitely will try next time! 😅
Briefly said: I liked everything! But if I have to tell you in detail: The first thing that made an impression on me was how polite and proper the hotel staff was. A very warm welcome indeed. The second thing, the room... I had no words for the room's elegance, luxury, and comfort. Absolute similar to the one presented in the pictures, even better. I liked the view from the panoramic windows. I liked how comfortable the king-sized bed was. And just the whole organization of the room was perfect. The third thing was their customer-staff communication system and room service. When you turn on the TV you find out that there you can find everything you might need during your stay, like information about each of Jaegerhof's units (the hotel, the beer hall, and the piano bar), menu with food from the beer hall/restaurant, menu with different types of pillows, menu with movies (They are paid, but there are quite good offers.) and TV channels, and menu with essentials such as bathroom accessories, various types of phone chargers and cables, minibar refills and more. Each of these can be ordered with room service, which is free of charge. Depending on the type of room you have chosen, everything may even be free for you, except the food of course, but you get a 10% discount as a hotel guest. Oh, and by the way the hotel has free parking for the guests. Wish everyone a great stay! 😉👌🏻
