Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaNo usable wireless internet connection, issue that was resolved only after 4 days of complains. No possibility to pay with card at the shops inside the resort, which is quite unacceptable.

BulgariaThe whole resort is already a bit overused and outdated. Rooms, restaurants, bathrooms all can use some renovation. Plastic cups and straws should be halted. Also a bit annoying is that upon arrival you are presented with a sheet of rules, including that reserving a sunbed/umbrella with towels and personal belongings is forbidden. But noone cares and umbrellas at the front rows were covered with kids toys and other luggage even overnight. As usual in Bulgaria, the rules only apply to those who want to follow them.
Location is perfect, right next to the beach and a big pool. Restaurant is just in front of the elveator :) Food was pretty good with large variety of choices. The beach is quite nice with enough room for everyone and featuring football and volleyball playgrounds. And of course, the best of it all is the Entertainment crew and the non-stop fun events they are organizing. Especially the theater events. This is the thing that is holding the whole resort together.

United StatesThe food and drinks were repetative and with bad quality. They don't meet the standards of a 4 star resort. We came last year as well and the quality of the food is definitely going down. Unfortunately, this is the reason we won't return.

HungaryThe food - for someone with dietary requirements it was difficult to find food. What I didn't like the most is that even the vegetables which otherwise would be steamed or boiled were soaked in margarine, not butter, not oil, but MARGARINE!!! Also, the bar was next to our balcony and it was very noisy until late at night.
It was an excellent complex for families with many pools, activities, and entertainment organized for children. There was a lot to do with children, the hotel has its own beach, which is great.

RomaniaThe rooms are a bit outdated. Also, the fact that the hotel is prefered by families takes its toll on the furniture, carpet, sofa.. The sofa was not confortable at all. We ended up sleeping together in the same double bed (we had an appartment with livingroom and a separate dormitory). The food and drinks were avarage. The food was diverse but nothing to sofisticated. I would rate the food as a 3-4* hotel. No wifi in the rooms..the safe box is extra-charge, 10 leva/day. The tv programes were all in bulgarian, except bbc world. We could not get a reservation to massage in the SPA. The receptionists sent us from reception to reception and there was no one at the SPA reception ..
The area was big and diverse. You can do different activities so it doesn't get boring if you have a longer stay (we stayed 8 nights). The beach and the pool in front of the hotel were large and had enough chairs to find one at every hour. Ofcourse, if you really want to stay in the front row, then you should get there early. It was nice to have access to the water park area and even to walk around the other hotels (it was like taking a stroll around a park). Also, at a 5 minutes walk you could find a wonderful wild beach, for those who prefer the intimacy. Sozopol has an old center very well preserved and we went there a couple of times, by car. The staff was nice and eager to solve every question/request. The view from the room was lovely (we had seaside view and we stayed on the second floor in duni marina, it was not too low). Initially, we were a bit afraid of the noise considering that our balcony was right above the terrace, but the windows kept the noises out.

RomaniaWhen having a beer you needed to queue at the bar. A self service beer tap would have been perfect. That would allow bartenders to provide a faster service for other drinks. The door separating the room for the suite that i had diddn't closed as the flooring covered the bottom part of the door, thus it was a little bit difficult for the kids to sleep while we were in the other room defeating the purpose of having 2 separate rooms...
The pools where factastic. Food was ok. Large offers of cocktails

RomaniaOn the day of departure, I noticed that my car rear tire on the less visible side was deflated. Another Romanian car had the same problem. I had checked the car every day and there were no problems until the day of departure. I found it suspicious and I called the police but I solve nothing. Maybe it was just a coincidence but I write this in just in case.
They moved me to Royal Palace because The Marina Beach wasn't open yet with no extra charge and they exceeded my expectations. I like the location, the rooms, beach and food. A quiet place for relaxation. Perfect for families with children. Nice AquaPark. The rooms were nice and clean. Wide and quiet area for walks. Friendly and nice staff. Good and very varied cocktails. Very nice outdoor terrace of the restaurant

GermanyI prefer a shower cabin to a bath tub. Also at times due to the large number of guests from all hotels it was difficult to find a free table for dinner.

United StatesIt is a bit dated for a 5 star rated facility but we would go again next year. The only surprise was no real shampoo - a 3 in 1 shampoo, body wash and conditioner was offered. We will plan accordingly next year!
Location is excellent and the food is very diverse and delicious. It was full but not crowded - lots of space etc. It is perfect for a family vacation and it was full of kids.

RomaniaBathroom smell was horrible even if it was cleaned daily, and we kept all drain holes covered, it really smelled like a public toillet. Quite/very crowded. Coffee poor, drinks selection quite limited and of relatively low quality. Few items of furniture or appliances were older and malfunctioned/needed repair. Both my younger son and myself had stomach /intestine problems, nor sure of it was a bacteria or a enterovirus. It went away with treatment in 2 days, the rest of the family was OK.
Great location, it is in fact a wider complex of several facilities. Sea water was superb, clean, warm and transparent rarely found on the Black Sea coast. Wonderful view from the room. Several pools available, also a small "aquapark" with water slides and stuff, all very clean and well maintained. Beach volley and football facilities, a couple of beach/pool bars, a gyros kiosk and a great evening bar/terrase with a view. The hotel made quite an effort to provide entertainment activities during the day and evening, including beach parties and camp fire. No Brits at all, a few Germans and Belgians, several Romanians and Russians but mostly Bulgarian turists. Food was OK-ish, nothing memorable and repetitive. Rooms were properly cleaned every day. Staff was warm and willing to help, knowledge of English was generally modest, but some of them spoke Romanian or German so in general you could get by. Sozopol old town nearby is a pitoresque jewel, a very nice little place to visit and enjoy a decent coffee, ice-cream or a lunch with fresh fish when tired of all-inclusive food.

BulgariaHotel is old. No WiFi in the rooms. Only in the lobby. For 5 star hotel this is absurd. Restaurant personnel was completely lost. Very un helpful. They look like upset at all times. If you ask something it was like pushing them to work. Food was alot, but not the best in quality.

BulgariaThe overall cleanliness of the rooms was satisfactory, though towels need replacement as they are very worn out for a 5 star hotel. The restaurant was not cleaned properly, bad smell when you enter the main area. Compared to previous year the quality of food and drinks was much lower. Cutlery needs replacement. The service in main restaurant was practically missing. Clean up of used dishes was done in front of the clients in open dirty dins. Very high price for service offered.
We visited Duni for third year due to its location, outdoor facilities, amazing beach and large green area.
