Bathroom seemed to have a leak/poor connection underneath the shower tray as it bounced standing on it, and water pooled on the floor, as the shower ran, from underneath. The hotel is investing in some upgrades, as seen by the work in the garden and on the back of the house, so I'm hoping its something they are aware of and are sorting ready for the summer anyway :)

Lovely large room - although some of the decor was older, it was all very clean and well presented. Good air conditioning system kept the room nice and warm. 2 doors separating the hotel corridor and the main bedroom, (bathroom and wardrobe in between) so it was beautifully quiet. Free parking on the road (the owners will assist to make sure you are parked safely). In the morning i was made a beautifully presented, abundant breakfast for only 10BGN additional, which set me up for my day. Both owners are friendly and want to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, and reminded me of staying with family. Ideal spot for my stop over to see buzludzha monument and shipka church.

Everything was amazing, the owner and receptionist was a sweetheart who offered us a great breakfast and recommended the cheapest supermarket! She also helped us to park in the area. We would repeat 100%.

Window from my room was to balcony where another guests smoke , not proper hydro isolation of shower part and rest of bathroom, bit noise of room refrigerator; in my opinion served breakfast is expensive

To start with - a kind lady welcomed us upon arrival. The room was spacious and the view from the window - impressing! The bed and the pillows were just perfect, matching our preferences (not too soft but not too firm as well). We booked two rooms which both were spotless clean, with fresh linen & fluffy towels when we checked-in. The overall feeling of the hotel is one of coziness, as you are a dear guest in the house of close friend. We were surprised at breakfast with a great touch from the hosts - the platter of cold cuts and rest of dishes were prepared with much care and most definitely - from an artist!

Our room and bathroom were a good size, clean and comfortable and we could see the Seuthes tomb from our window. There is a large communal balcony and a nice garden and pool.

The door of the shower cabinet didn't have lock, once you close the door it would open again. I had to shower my self with one foot holding the door. If it wasn't for that small inconvenience the stay would have been perfect.

Good location for Buzludhza and the local monuments. Fab owners who are incredibly helpful and breakfast is lovely. The garden and pool would be lovely in summer after a day of hiking.

Wish we could've stayed longer.

The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Apart from that great thanks to the couple who run the hotel who couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself looks very pretty, and outside was a beautiful garden with an amazing swimming pool. 10/10 recommend.

What did we like? To say EVERYTHING in capitals seems a little over the top but it’s true. We arrived after a hot and unpleasant train/taxi journey from Sofia and were greeted like family. The owners asked about dietary needs for breakfast, sorted out transport for the following day to Shipka Pass and the ‘UFO’ structure. Breakfast was delicious and home cooked. Authentic friendly Bulgarian hotel. If we are passing along the Valley of Roses we will detour to stay here. It’s that good!

The question is, what did we not like. The location was wonderful to start hikes. Our hosts were unbelievable caring and sympathetic. The self-made breakfast was incredibly delicious. The room was really big with a beautiful view into the mountains. The bed was comfy and the room could be darkened well. There was air conditioning and a fan.

On the negative side of things, it would be hard to describe any. I would be lying to myself if I said we experienced any kind of inconvenience. Strongly recommend visiting this district and getting familiar with its breathtaking history.

In the short period we stayed, we managed to see all the sights in close range to the town. The responsive staff advised us on how to get around everything so that we don't waste our time. In terms of food, they shared a magnificent restaurant close to the hotel. Luckily for us, the place to eat turned out to be no more than 15 minutes from the hotel itself. The short walk between the hotel and the restaurant gives an opportunity to see a small part of the city, revealing part of its unique charm.
