Probably the best value accommodation of our 8 month trip across numerous countries. Clean, spacious and very artfully decorated. It is also located in arguably the prettiest neighbourhood in Sucre. It's a short walk up the hill from the city centre and really isn't very bad at all.

The sheets were a bit dirty with a few stray hairs, but otherwise it was great.

The hosts were incredible and so easy to work with, as well as flexible! The views were also incredible, in addition to a nice hot shower.

I found the bed hard personally. The location is not bad, especially if you take a bus (1&7) up the hill from central. Quick and cheap.

The property and rooms are gorgeous with great views and very clean. The manager is kind and helpful. Overall great value for the price.

A little bit of a walk from the main square but you get used to it. Plus we ended up just staying around La Recoleta as it was nicer.

Tania is a wonderful host, very kind and responsive, always helpful, she even got up early in the morning for me and allowed me to check in at 6 am! The hotel is very beautiful and clean, tastefully decorated, there is also an excellent kitchen with all cooking utensils and access to a balcony with stunning views of Sucre. If I could, I would have stayed longer. I thank Tania for her hospitality and warm welcome and highly recommend this place!

The host Tania was so kind and helpful. Our bus arrived a lot earlier in the morning than anticipated and she sorted out a room for us to rest in. She provided advice on where to go and what to do in Sucre. She also knocked on our door to let us know when there were hummingbirds in the courtyard which was really sweet! The room was also so comfortable and spacious. Really nice.

Coming back in the evening requires a climb up quite a mighty hill but worth it for the view!

One of the nicest places we’ve stayed! A beautifully designed, comfortable room with an incredible panoramic view of the city from the window. The host Tania is really friendly and accommodating. She allowed us to keep our luggage in the apartment all day after checking out - we were so grateful to have somewhere to store it before our overnight bus departure.

Absolutely nothing! It is located at the top of the hill (well worth it for the views and location in old town) but if you struggle with the walk there are lots of buses.

The views from our room were beautiful. It is located in the old part of the town, just a few minutes was from La Recoleta. It is a pretty property, with lovely features. Tania (the host) was extremely helpful and receptive. They offer a laundry service for a reasonable price. The kitchen facilities are excellent and clean. There is a balcony with 2 deckchairs which is great for relaxing after a long day exploring Sucre.

The kitchen could have been cleaned more frequently and some basic equipment was missing (for example forks and sharp knifes).

Friendly staff, amazing views from the kitchen, hot showers and clean bathrooms. Beautiful colonial style building with high ceilings. Nice plants and flowers in the yard. Good internet. Big rooms with comfortable beds

One of my favourite places we have stayed. Beautiful hostel with great views overlooking the city, in a nice area about a 10/15 minute walk down to the centre. The owners are lovely kind people. Excellent value.

The casa al tronco is wonderful. Beautiful views over the city with clean and tidy rooms. Tania is a very generous host- allowing us to check in early in the morning after an overnight bus and providing a helpful guide to the city. Would love to stay again!

We loved everything about our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. All of the facilities were kept spotlessly clean. The views from the kitchen and balcony area were sublime. The location is a short walk from town but this allows for a more secluded feel and gorgeous views. Staff were also really friendly and Tonia was so kind in allowing us to stay there for the whole day while waiting on our night bus. We also got our laundry done here and they had our clothes washed and folded to perfection !! Would definitely recommend staying here 😊

The only way to get such incredible views from your room is to be at the top of a hill, so be prepared for a steep walk to and from town.

Everything was perfect. The room was large, clean, and very comfortable plus the WiFi was good. The shower was hot and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more friendly.

The towels were old, hard and rough, and they also had a weird smell, probably because they dried badly. The room where we stayed was below another room and the sound isolation was really really bad, you can hear the talking of the people above, the steps, the music and everything, two nights the noise woke us up. The bathroom had no soap.

The host was really polite, she gave us two keys, the room decoration was really nice, the beds were comfy, the bedspreads were warm and comfy. It has a well equipped kitchen and a terrace with possibly one of the best views in town. One thing to note is that the pictures and description of the place were totally accurate with the actual place.
