How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The Tryp is a modern, comfortable hotel just minutes from the airport. Our flight was at 3:30 am so we stayed in the hotel until after midnight. Great place to rest while it was raining outside for most of the day.

The sheets were super thin and felt like tissue paper. There were no blankets. We only stayed one night for about 6 hours so it was fine. If we have stayed longer we wouldve addressed the issue or looked into another accommodations
Quick, kind, staffed check in for our late night arrival (~1am). Beautiful hotel ~8mins away from the airport. Good sized room with a good breakfast spread. Great for a one night stay as its close to the hotel however its not close to the sights of Manaus. Check-in with lots of airline employees.

Two rooms booked - Good value for money. Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Hot water and good water pressure. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. Flexible check in timing and staff available 24/7. Close to the airport and a great stop over from River Negro.

The pool was lovely on a hot day and the terrace splendid but it was a bit small to actually swim lengths.

It would be good if they told you at check-in that you have to use your key to activate the elevator.
Several of the staff spoke English, which made everything easier for me. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. Having the restaurant there, open most of the time, was super convenient.

All good. Nothing I didn't like.
Not being able to speak Portuguese, I really appreciated that the front desk staff and one of the waiters spoke English. Everyone was courteous and helpful.

The Glas (in the room) to drink something was dirty. It was covert by plastic but it wasn’t washed well.
Some of the staff spoke English. Good breakfast and dinner. Large installed soap dispensers etc. great chefs pizza. Nice staff.

A nice hotel close to the airport that has great amenities. There aren't many places within walking distance but the restaurant is affordable and has good food.

No complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. They called me a taxi. And I thought it was part of the hotel service. I was surprised when they asked me for 40 brl at the airport. Typically shuttle service to and from the airport is provided with most hotels that are close by. So I found this a little strange. Also it would have been cheaper for me to just use an Uber rather than a taxi.
Staff spoke English. Quick and easy check-in. Room service was great because my flight arrived very late.

One of our rooms had puddles on the floor but we were only there for a few hours so didn’t question it
Great location close to airport Arrived after 2am due to flight time - check in was easy. We were given a queen room but needed a twin and our room was charged quickly without any problem. Good buffet breakfast

They gave us a room upgrade and helped take luggage to the room. However we left at 3h45 to catch a plane, so couldn't stay for breakfast.

We called reception to order room service and they kept putting us through to the kitchen even though no one there spoke English. Other than that, staff was very friendly and helpful!!
