How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room number 5 is in front of "swimming-pool bar" so the right place to people talking, drinking late at night...So if this can bother you,I mean, the noise, number 5 room is not for you, if you don't care about it, its ok.
Heated swimming-pool, very well located, if you want you can go to the main street( Stone Street) on foot around 10 min walking. Talking about breakfast, Miss Ana a very friendly person and responsible for all the weight you are gonna gain..her cakes are delicious.The whole breakfast team is nice!

Great location, short walk into the centre and the bus station. Room was clean and comfortable. Good options for breakfast. Great to have the option of the pool / jacuzzi.

The walls are very thin and the locks are loud. When other guests arrived and left you typically woke up in the middle of the night. But only if you are a light sleeper and everyone was extremely respectful and quiet.
The staff was amazing and the breakfast was exceptional! We woke up to fresh bread, freshly pressed juice, fruit, and more! The sunset at the pool is beautiful and we had an amazing trip overall!

Beware if you have mobility issues, the B&B is located on top of a small hill (2 min. walk to get on top). It did not bother us at all as we are quite a young / healthy group but it might be an issue for some people.
Great location near the city center. The place was nice and beautiful, overlooking great vegetation. Breakfast was really good. The room was simple, yet clean and tidy, just perfect for us. Staff does not speak english but we always managed to understand each other, and they were really nice and friendly.

Our bathroom roof was a little bit mouldy mainly because the ventilation wasn't working. It's only a very tiny detail though. As I mentioned above, we absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back and recommend this place to family and friends!
Loved everything during our stay! Arrived a little earlier than the check-in time and the staff were very helpful making sure we didn't have to wait long for our room to be ready. The room was great, the bed super comfy and the shower the best we had in a long time. We are travelling for 7 months so we learnt to appreciate those things :) It's also quiet at night, and still close to the centre. Breakfast every morning is amazing! The staff is happy to cook scrambled eggs upon request and there is plenty of choice on the buffet spread. Sweet tooth... get ready for it! I personally was happy with the eggs and freshly squeeze juice (changing every day). But if you love sweet, there is plenty of cakes and danishes to choose from! Last but not least, the staff was also the highlight of our stay. They are very friendly and despite not speaking Portuguese myself, they would go above and beyond to make sure my partner and I had a great time.

Location was good for me since I wanted to walk around to see beaches as many as I can in a short period. I could see 8 beaches in 1 day. I can tell that 2 out of 3 favorites are close this pousada: Brava (after the rock area) and Forno (this is not so touristy). My room (for 4) was nice with big terrace and beautiful panorama. Bed was comfortable. There were two great pools, the area was a little paradise with astonishing panorama. The breakfast was excellent, 5*. I loved this place and Búzios. The staff can not speak English but they use google translate.

Very loud music from bar and reception that we could hear in our room. Unbearable; the music started at 7:30am every day, and during the day. When power went out there was also some loud automated noise. Steps , door locks, people talking, we could hear everything from inside our room - it seems like the walls and doors are very thin, making it almost impossible to relax and sleep. The toilet was leaking after every flush, we only noticed that in our last day but it was gross. The staff was friendly , breakfast was good, and the room was clean, but for the price we paid and for the reviews we say (property rated more than 8) it was a major disappointment.
The staff was very friendly and tried to help when we asked to reduce the music volume at 7:30am. All staff members were super friendly and nice. Breakfast was good.
