Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilThe evenings are chilly here and the beds had only a single sheet, no blanket. We were cold. I had to move rooms because there was construction noise (this was organized within five minutes of my request) but in the second room, the shower was not hot. *You must take your own towel into the water park* this was probably very clear for people who speak Portuguese, but didn't know.
I loved the landscaping, trees and lush gardens, buildings connected by pretty wooden bridges that are lit up at night. The breakfast buffet was generous, fresh and tasty. The location was very good; opposite a large shopping mall and only a short distance from most tourist sites of interest. The pools in the hotel are wonderful - very warm, with a bar for adults and a water-play area for children. The room was a good size, clean and bright. The staff were incredible: friendly, helpful and efficient. Many of the staff also spoke English, which was great for me! The hotel is connected to a dazzling water park which also offers boat trips on a lake and zip wire rides. It's very child friendly, with many play areas and child friendly structures. There are many places to eat across the resort: from fancy restaurants and the piano room to burger huts and ice-cream stalls. Overall, the hotel felt luxurious and the staff were super helpful.

United KingdomI think the food is a bit overpriced. We needed to pay per person for a bbq and the quality of the meat wasn't great, and in the bar area the sharing plates portions were quite small for our expectations.
The resort is absolutely fantastic. It's amazing for the kids even when it's cloudy and not that hot weather. The water is so warm and we all had a amazing time together.

SwedenPersonal at breakfast room was kind but too fast on taking out our scrap from the table. One day I had some cheese bread beside my coffee cup, and when I looked to the side for one second, the waiter had already taken it away. That was a bit annoying. I would also like to share a bad experience that we had with a person who invited us to some kind of presentation of MyMabu project. I would be contacted by her on the time to go and see some video, but it did not happen once she wrote my number wrong - which we checked up together when we met again someday after. Meanwhile, I gave it up and kept on enjoying my stay in the hotel, because me as a customer have zero obligation to anything. But it was proven that she doesn't share this same thinking. One day she met me again and suggested that I gave her a wrong number, which I proved wrong directly. She also suggested, in a very passive-aggressive way, that I was ignoring her when we casually met in the hotel, which for me is a unacceptable behavior with a client. Then, during the days left at the hotel, every time she met us she called me by my nickname in a very ironic way, inviting my again and again to go and see her proposal, even though I had already said to her, when we first met again, that I was not interested anymore. She clearly intended to annoy me with this fake intimacy and repeating invitations. I was one inch to call her superior to make her stop making fun of me, but, in order not to destroy my experience at Mabu with my family, I only waved "no" at her so to answer her inviations. I really enjoyed my stay at Mabu, but this event made it way less pleasurable. My advice to MyMabu is to change this kind of intrusive and zero professional approach because it causes the exact opposite effect.
Rooms are clean and fresh, personal very attentive and kind, really service minded and well trained. Pools are just amazing with their clean thermal waters and form variations. Breakfast was generous, with good variation and some interesting surprises from South Brazil.

AustraliaMabu Thermas Grand Resort complaint list: 1. 50 minutes waiting in a cue for check-in (8 staff around doing nothing, 1 doing check out and only 1 doing check-in in a busy afternoon). Outrageous!; 2. There was no crib in the bedroom, that was confirmed beforehand that it'd have one; 3. I had to call hotel's landline to figure out reception's number. The QR code close to the phone led us to the WhatsApp and it took too long to figure out reception's number, so calling the landline was quicker. That was crazy!; 4. Shower was too hot and dangerous for us and specially for our 1 and half year old baby, and too cold (temperamental) at the same time - It happened around 4 times in a 10 minutes shower for all of us (4 = myself, partner, daughter and mother); 5. Air conditioning: a bit too cold + no remote control (I have to get up to change the temperature) + no blankets; 6. Coffee at the breakfast was too bad. It was awful; 7. Bracelet wasn't activated: when we were having a lunch at the first time in the hotel, we were going to get some beverages, but our NFC bracelets were not activated (3 of them), but I was told at the check-in they should be ready to be used. Detail, the restaurant we had this issue was located at the end of the resort, quite far from the reception, where we were recommended initially to go to resolve this issue. Thankfully, Mr. Dalmar sorted out our bracelets issue that were deactivated, when it should be activated since the check-in. 8. Last, but no least: the time wasted complaining. It is unacceptable that a hotel/resort with 4/5 stars had/having all these sort of issues. As a Brazilian living in Australia for 8 years, it is sad for me to see these issues happening. We need to attract more tourists, and not only from Brazil and South America, but all over the world and we need to show the best that we have. Kind regards, Guilherme
We liked the staff, the location, the resort in general, specially the pools for adults and kids. Breakfast was good, but could be better if coffee was good. In fact, the coffee was terrible. We had a lot of issues at the beginning that were amended. I'll explain it better at "What didn't you like?" section. I'd like to commend specially Mr. Dalmar (Waiter) as he sorted out my bracelet issue that was deactivated, when it should be activated since the check-in and Michele Amanda (Guest Relations Supervisor) for providing us with some treats due the issues we had.

IrelandSome of the pools was not available due maintenance schedule and I was not informed about this during the booking process, they charged me full price and didn't delivered the full service. During our checkin some staff approach us to offer an opportunity of investment and a tour to see some apartments to buy that would take no longer than one hour and they offer you a free lunch as courtesy at end. After a very invasive interrogatory about your economical private life turn that the “opportunity of investment” was nothing more that in Ireland is considered a “scam” and took more than 2.5 hours of our holidays. They try to lure you making you believe that they are offering you the best deal of your life for a “holiday club” not a solid investment using a very aggressive marketing technic not giving you a chance to think about and demanding you to take a decision immediately and under pressure by the sales team, a typical scam. When in fact after you make a simple calculation the deal is not good at all specially for those living abroad. The hotel should be shame of that practice as this happen at the hotel premise's this could be considered normal under their view and allowed under Brazilian law but not in the rest of the world specially in the EU. Dont fall in this trick, the cheap meal does not worth you holiday time

ParaguayPrice too high for basic accomodations and optional services. Charged for essentials, like plug adapter, pools' towels. Despite I paid for 3 guest, they gave me only two passes. The resort is beautiful and big, but it lacks good signage, thus in your first day you constantly need to ask for directions. Poor WiFi service. Poor virtual assistant aid. There isn't a deep pool for adults.
Many options for snack / lunch / dinner. Great breakfast. Many spaces to live the summer. Some interesting and unique attractions. Personnel very kind and helpful.
