Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe ping pong was broke, personal was not helpful, service could be more attentive, inside it was very cold i had to wear a jacket ridicoulisly… the food was okay but very much overpriced.. a bottle of san pellegrino 13$.. even for bahamian standards its too much i think!
Central location, very nice beach, not crowded with people so it was silent, very nice historic building and design, nice pool area, sport activities possible, complementary SUP, Canu, snorkel, volley ball etc…

BahamasThe breakfast however, was underwhelming. The service took longer than expected and the cooked items tasted as if they used old grease.
I think the staff was great! The rooms were clean, and the location was perfect being in the center of Nassau. It made it a great location to walk around downtown to see all the local spots.

United KingdomExpensive - I paid over $3000 for six nights and was charged extra for parking and offered late checkout at $50 per hour - for such a large property and given we’d stayed so long, I wonder whether charging $50 really was necessary? This hotel allows charging to your room, sometimes my name was verified and sometimes it wasn’t. This made me check my bill in detail and I’m glad I did, because an $80 breakfast charge was made to my room that wasn’t me (in fact I’d already charged breakfast to my room that day).

CanadaTerrible airconditiong. Stayed 5 nights and it is too hot! They had a motion sensor aircon so when you are sleeping, it stop. This is the most uncomfortable sleep I ever had travelling. You will not get a sleep coz every 2 hours you need to stand up to go to the bathroom to turn on the aircon again. Also, on the 3rd day they change the thermostat but you think it was fix. Nope! The 65 doesn’t even felt 65 but 73 so…totally did not enjoy my sleep there. Also, the damage deposit is hefty, so prepare for $1,000 or more for damage deposit in your credit card.
Location is center The staff are amazing! The pool and the beach are proximity to the cruise ships. The ambiance is very nice and feel at home.

United StatesThe long wait to get into my room. There was a problem with Booking .com which did not secure the reservation. At the Hotel, I saw several persons, in the lobby who, like myself, had been waiting l very long time to be given a room.

United StatesTha aircon is not really cold. 4 people in the room makes the night too warm and ac settings cannot be adjusted to 65. It is so uncomfortable and interrupted sleep overnight until few nights were cool because it rained. I told front desk to fix the setting but noone came to do it. There isn't garden view in our room, parking garage at the right and blocked view at the front. Puddle of water on the pathway at the swimming pool, too slippery and prone to accident.
The hotel is newly renovated. It is somewhat new, environment and pool are nice and garden is well manicured, beach is nice and clean. Live music and fire dance on weekend. Buffet breakfast stub good for 2 persons included per room, however, extra guests is charged $10 per person must go all together as a group, otherwise, $35 per person will be charged if eating breakfast on different or separate time.

United StatesLocation in downtown Nassau is very touristy and filled with cruise passengers. We walked around a bit, but sadly the downtown area is not in the best shape. This was a great hotel for one night - not sure we’d spend a week here though.
Gorgeous remodel! Lobby is impressive. Restaurants are designed beautifully. Good was great. Pool/beach is lovely, though you a right next to multiple cruise ships which dock and depart daily. It’s a busy place. Staff was friendly all around.

United KingdomView from room was of a carpark and skips full of rubbish - not what you expect on a paradise trip to the Bahamas! I don’t have such a view a home so certainly don’t want this on holiday! No full length mirror in the room Hidden charges were ridiculous- charged between $11-$13 per night for standard room cleaning each day, plus another approx $20 per night resort fee. Then tourism tax (this one is expected)
