The water pressure in the indoor shower was a little bit much but honestly it felt nice after staying in other places with minimal pressure.

Beautiful property! The staff was so welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. There is a complimentary welcome drink (rum punch) which was so refreshing and delicious. We arrived prior to check in and they held our luggage until our room was ready. We stayed in River View 1 which had a nice view of the koi pond, river, and gorgeous trees. The balcony was private with 4 chairs, a hammock, and small table. The outdoor shower was spacious and private. The bedroom was so luxurious with fresh water and the A/C worked wonders especially after a hot day exploring a small part of the 600 acres of property. There's free bikes to use to get around! Highly recommend hiking the steep and rocky hill to see the scenic view from the Gazebo. Also, there are free kayaks available as early as 7:30am! The pool was so refreshing and well lit at night. The restaurant on site is superb and I wish we had stayed longer than one night.

The hot tub could’ve been hotter. The food though delicious could’ve even been better if it had more seasoning.

Loved the lodge! It exceeded my expectations on so many levels! I highly recommend! The pool is fabulous! The food is delicious!

    I liked everything :)

Beautiful property surrounding by lush forested landscapes. Includes walking trails with a treehouse and suspension bridges. Property has been meticulously maintained from the comfortable large well equipped rooms, to the pool, to the beautifully kept grounds. Staff are very friendly and available for your every need. Food is excellent.

This review is for the hotel only. What we didn’t think highly of (and would get a 3/5 tops) was the restaurant. The food was just okay. We had dinner and breakfast there. Very basic for the price. And on top of that there was 12.5% tax and 10% resort free. Plus of course our tip. So we are talking minimum 32.5% on top of the food price and 42.5% if you tip 20%. Therefore the cost was even worse.

The property was stunning! The vegetation and the style of the rooms were so beautiful. Hiking and biking were fantastic!! The kayaking wasn’t much and luckily we are strong enough to move the kayaks into the water but not sure how some people would do it.

I LOVE the idea of the hammocks but ours wasn't very comfortable. I had dreams of napping or reading in ours out on the patio but I couldn't get comfy enough. Maybe the wider ones would be better?

The grounds are gorgeous. The location of the restaurants were perfect - close enough to the cabins but not so close that any noise carries. The upper levels makes you feel as if you're eating in a gorgeous treehouse. The staff was absolutely exceptional!

Some of the staff wasn’t super welcoming. Food was OK.

Property was fantastic. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We really enjoyed the amenities on the property like the free bike rentals, hike up to the gazebo, the pool. Food at the restaurants was ok, we really loved the Mayan chocolate cake! The room was fantastic. We opted for the creek side cottage . It was perfectly secluded but still close to the reception area. It offered an outdoor tub and hammock area. Really comfortable bed and also a water machine in the room. We will definitely be back.

The food other than breakfast was ridiculously over priced, portions small and underwhelming. The pizza was unreasonably priced. They resort takes advantage of its proximity to any restaurants and overcharges, as any other option requires a half hour drive to town. After one dinner we did just that. The outdoor soaking tub area had an ant infestation making it unusable.

The grounds were beautiful, the cottage was quite nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were very good. They did a fantastic job of offering tours and coordinating them.

Since our stay was short, we wanted to arrive early on the check in day. Upon arrival our room was not going to be ready until 3pm which is standard at most hotels. So we headed to eat lunch and had an amazing wood fired pizza. Then after our room was ready around 2pm! Everything was great from check in to check out.

We enjoyed everything during our stay. The food was amazing, our room was incredible, the bed was super soft. Even though our stay was short, we enjoyed kayaking in the river, going on a bike ride, and hiking up 300ft to see an outstanding view of the Sleeping Giant. Definitely planning a longer stay next time!

A lot of steps to get up to our room- but we definitely got our exercise and the mountain view was worth it! Really can’t think of anything else- my husband didn’t even complain about not having a tv, he liked the hotel so much!

The staff went out of their way to make our stay exactly like we wanted. Every single person we interacted with at the lodge was so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and our outdoor heated plunge pool was perfect after a long day of activities. The activities we booked through the lodge all exceeded our expectations and we felt like we had the perfect jungle vacation. The restaurant was amazing- great value, great selection and variety- we ate their every day and the food was fresh, delicious, filling, and varied with daily specials that were amazing as well! The pool area for the lodge was beautifully kept and we couldn’t believe the delicious rum drinks were only $6-7 US! The grounds were just beautiful and full of paths to explore. We actually wished we could have stayed longer and skipped the beach half of our vacation!

The reception staff were a bit stand off. We had told them we would be about two/three hours early, yet we were the only at reception the whole time and it seemed like our room was left to last, we were in reception till 5 minutes till the official check in. We also managed to get locked out on the balcony (something to be aware of).

Everything. We got a free upgrade as our original room’s air conditioning failed. The suite was spectacular, with an outside shower and bed to the front and balcony with plunge pull to the back. Everything was clean, had our own coffee maker, air conditioning and fans. The estate was there to explore, everyone friendly, free bikes and kayaks.

It lacked basic amenities in the room, including no slippers, or vanity kit. I had to essentially hike to reach my room, which was tough after long days of cave adventures.

The room was big, with a very nice view of the sleeping giant mountain. The staff were very friendly, especially the concierge Luis who went out of his way to assist us. The laundry service is also well priced.
