Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South KoreaOne thing we could hear the noise from the floor
Very nice location for the family. For coffee and breakfast, you can use the café on the first floor. Also, there’s a supermarket across the street.

CanadaKitchen was very well equipped but didn’t have a kettle. If you prefer tea to coffee, bring your own.
Location (in town for an athletic event at Université Laval) was outstanding. Contactless entry super convenient. Great value

CanadaNothing.
The proximity to Laval University where our event was held was excellent. Having a coffee shop and grocery store nearby was very much appreciated.

CanadaWhen arriving by the garage, we didn't know how to get to the loft. Thank goodness someone just happened to pass by, since we followed that person.
The self check-in was nice. The café on the main floor was a nice bonus. The best latte I ever had.

CanadaPlease read the reviews as there are some quirks. 1. Kleenex - partial box (we brought our own) 2. Paper towel- not provided (brought our own) 3. Dishwasher pucks - we were given 1 for a week but there was a bottle of dishsoap. (brought our own pucks) 4. Garbage & recycling bags - no extras left (bring your own extras) 5. Hand towels (none for bathroom) 6. Kitchen tea towels - there were two but they are terrible so we used them as hand towels in the bathrooms and brought our own tea towels and dish cloths. 7. Laundry - is on the floor, not free in the unit but good and simple to use - purchase the laundry card on 2nd floor 8. Central Vac - There is a central vaccuum system which makes keeping up with the cleaning easy - especially in the winter when sand gets tracked in. 9. Soaps - there was hand soap at all sinks but no shower products 10. Chez Maison Smith - This was a fabulous addition! The unit is uncomfy for family hangouts in the evenings as there is no couch so the cafe was an excellent additional space! 11. Taxes - I don’t know if so much tax is a Quebec thing but there were $400 in taxes applied to our overall bill which was a shock.
It was very central to the ski hills, Centre de Glace and Old Quebec - just 20 minutes to skiing, fat biking and more but 15 mins to Old Quebec and just 5 minutes to the Centre de Glace. Fabulous having the Cafe Smith on the main floor! We stayed a week so read my notes that apply to a longer family stay.

United KingdomThe price seemed on the high side, but then I understand that high season in Quebec City is not cheap.
A spacious apartment, modern and comfortable. Nice views, too. The instructions were very detailed, and made it easy to navigate the arrival process. We had enough space for the five of us, and enjoyed our stay. We did have a car, but I understand that the place is close to public transport, so making your way to the old city center should be easy even if you do not have a car. There is a sizeable shopping center across the street (we did not visit it); the café downstairs has options for breakfast if you do not want to cook (the kitchen is well-equipped, by the way).

CanadaSpotless clean unit, with everything you need. Really well located, maison café smith in the lobby of the building (a must in Qc city!), right by the pyramid for groceries, restos. And a quick drive or bus ride to le Vieux Québec.

CanadaI would have preferred darker curtains. The curtains that were there did not block out the light from the street, making it a bit more difficult to sleep.
Location was good for what I needed. Nice to have a coffee shop in the building. Good facilities in the room (nice fridge, stove, microwave, etc).

South AfricaThe bed is tucked away in an alcove and is small for two people. It would have been nice to have a couple more pillows. A larger and more comfortable couch would also have been better. There is a lot of storage space which seems like a waste but maybe that is because the unit is supposed to be student accommodation.
The property is in a very convenient location. However, it was a little difficult to find. There is a bus across the road which goes right to Old Quebec. It was very clean and there is a large fridge, stove and microwave for use. There is also a washing machine and tumbler dryer in the building which can be used. The is covered parking for one car and the code system worked very well to gain entry. There is a large shopping centre across the road so self catering was very easy.

Confortable and spacious apartment, clean, good beds. Building has a cafe Smith on the groundfloor. Supermarket, Dollarama and different food offers in the mall across the street. It took us only 15 minutes to get to the Old Town by car. Check in instructions were clear.

CanadaThe air conditioning was only in the living room, and the bedrooms got quite warm at night.
We loved the spacious apartment and the cleanliness of the space. The amenities provided were sufficient for a family of four. The location was very convenient with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets at a walking distance. We were also thankful for the private indoor parking facility.
