Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaMy room was right beside reception and the back entrance. A small group of people gathered at 5;30 am to share a morning coffee and chat until 7;00 am. i think they lived there full time. I was up the whole time.

CanadaYou truly get what you pay for. Cheap rooms that are in a outdated slightly run down hotel. Ac in room ran constantly to keep room manageable. Only wifi no TV access. No breakfast. Key card took mutliple attenpts to always open the room door. Charged for parking in their rear lot. As stated before it was the best price, the pictures online are sort of deceiving.
Location is fairly close to downtown and the water. Price is very affordable compared to other locations in the area.

CanadaSorry reverse answer…what I liked was location.
No parking…advertised as Grace and Charm…police where there couple times. Advertised flat screen and wifi. But could not watch news etc…had to download on phone only Netflix or utube and had to get staff 2X to set up was very inconvenient. Staff was very rude as room wasn’t as advertised and no refund even though we didn’t touch anything.

CanadaThe room was dirty, especially the bathroom. We learnt that they have only one housekeeper, which means they can't maintain the rooms to a good standard. While acknowledging COVID must be difficult to manage in the sector during this time, we wish there was more attention paid to cleanliness.
We liked the friendly staff and that they had free breakfast in a cool room with beautiful art. The building was cool as well.

CanadaThe doors were super thin so we heard every noise from the hall. We were also located right next to the main doors, so every time someone came or went, the room shook. The bed was also the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. It sank in the middle and I woke up with a very sore back.
