Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

You are kidding, right? What breakfast? When I checked out at 8 AM the office door was locked and I woke up the "concierge" to hand in my key card. There was no breakfast.

BrazilMy “stay” at Knights Inn Fort Erie actually never happened. The hotel appeared to be closed and unwelcoming, with no staff available to assist me. Additionally, the property failed to respond to any of my attempts to contact them, leaving me feeling stranded and unsupported.

CanadaBased upon the look of the facility and the atmosphere, we decided that breakfast was not likely a good idea.. It seems that they may be renting out rooms by the month or longer. One of the tenants was on the second floor vacuuming at 10:30 pm and other work-like noises. Room occupants were shouting back and forth with a conversational loud tone across the court yard, after 10:30pm. In the courtyard there was a derelict car with the back window smashed out and three of the four tires we could see where flat. The card key for the room was presented to us in a very shop worn cardboard folder.. We guessed it had been used dozens of times and will likely be continued in use until it falls completely apart. The was a stale odor about the room. Furnishings in the room were seemingly clean, but very well aged. There is an electrical problem in the room: Turn on the bedside lamp: works. While it is on, turn off the main light.... both go out. Tried repeatedly... same result. Felt is was safer to leave both of them off.
The motel was very close to where we were doing business... convenient in that manor.
