Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt would be nice to have 4 towels and a hand towel. Parking was a little difficult later in the evening. Small chair to sit on would be much appreciated
It was very clean and organized. We appreciated the binder with restaurants menus. Great place for the money spent. Would definitely stay there again!

CanadaI didnt bring any towels and wished i had more as the towels were still damp from hot tub the night before when wanting a towel after a shower. Although the bed itself was comfortable, the size was small. We were aware of bed size beforehand so thats on us not the provider.
Cute little nook, all you really need for a weekend away. Loved the hot tub! Had all the small stuff i forgot (cutlery, shampoo, a fan). Location was nice, close enough to uber to roger center, walked to restaurants (starving artist was amazing for brunch!) Or had food delivered.

CanadaOverall excellent! But bit of an unreasonable expectation to fully dry off before coming back in from the hot tub since it’s February, we did our best.
Great communication from the owner. The bed is comfy and clean, nice comforter and duvet. Could use a hand towel in the bathroom but the towels provided are nice as well. it’s small and cozy but everything you basically need is right there. The hot tub was lovely, the selling point really. It was clean and ready to go. A good amount of chemicals, definitely have to rinse off afterwards but it was to be expected for something that is used by different people.

CanadaI think it would impove your customer satisfaction if you just take care of the city of Toronto temporary parking pass. Most people won't know how to do that and you can just add the price to your stay. People from out of town with cars would be more likely to stay with you again. Just friendly advice

CanadaThe room is small but a bistro set would be nice…only place to sit is the bed. My allergies were off the charts until I found the air freshener and put it outside
The bed is only a double but it was very comfortable. The hot tub was fabulous.

CanadaThe shower/ bathroom combo means that after using the shower the floor is wet for a while and you need to dry off the toilet. Initially we couldn't get parking on the side street and had to move the car later on.
The hot tub is fabulous. Bed comfy and great size. Blackout blinds that work! The room is very cosy and clean. We didn't get plates and utensils when we picked up our food but thankfully these had been provided in the room. Felt completely private. Perfect for what we needed.

IndiaPerhaps I read the advertisement wrong, but I was unaware that there was no stove in the kitchen. It is really just a hotel suite with a microwave and fridge.
Very responsive host. The hot tub was spotless. The bed was comfortable. The hosts have lovely herbs growing in the garden. The neighbourhood has fantastic, owner-operated ethnic restaurants (Jamaican, Thai, Vietnamese and Portuguese). As well, the houses and streets are reminiscent of a 1970s Toronto, with old brick two-stories, back yards and trails to walk through. Within walking distance to 5 small microbreweries.

CanadaThe hot tub was wonderful, the bed was very comfortable and the blackout curtains were a nice touch. The owner did stop by and give us more towels without us asking too. The space definitely on the smaller side, but was perfect for just us 2.

CanadaNo parking and really late response asking where we could park. Not very responsive host. RV bathroom, in that the shower is part of the bathroom, so the toilet paper is 4 feet off the floor to avoid the spray. The back gate is broken down and doesn't lock.
The hot tub was wonderful. Well decorated room. Bed was comfy.

United StatesDescription is misleading. The room is a converted shed behind a house on a very busy street. Very small. There is no separate shower (the bathroom IS the shower). Only furniture is the bed. Hot tub (I didn't use) located in tiny backyard with a car parked up next to it. Overall pretty shabby. "Romantic love nest" it is not.
It was near where I needed to be in Toronto. The basics of the place worked and the bed was ok.

CanadaIt's tiny - literally a small bedroom. Not much in terms of amenities (no spoons for coffee and little beyond that) and quite far out, past the end of the streetcar line.

CanadaThere is very little to recommend. Most notably the “hosts”. To say they have little in the way of hospitality skills is an understatement. There was no attempt to greet or welcome me and no effort to acquaint me with the quirky details of the place. The male was condescending in his attitude and left me a text that read”you have anger issues and are not too bright” That is bc I failed to realized that I should use a yoga block over the AC vent which is nearly under the bed. AC - Sunday May 22 was way too cold to have AC running. Otherwise, the place is a very small space, with bare/bones furnishing. It was very damp and cold and space heater did not respond to the “power on” touch control. at first I thought there was no shower in the tiny bathroom, but then realized the bathroom IS the shower. No stall/no shower curtain. I didn’t like the look of the black stuff on the shower exhaust fan, so I skipped the shower. The bed was ok - but for a couple looking for a “love nest”? Hmmmm, doubt it would stand up to more than a cuddle. lol which leads me to the ‘private’ hot tub. A peek a boo fence between me & a public alley/drive way wasn’t private enough for me. The This is Paradise sign rings hollow. besides the car parked practically up against the hot tub and backyard clutter is not very appealing. The ratty hot tub cover could use replacing. Airbnb really needs a better standard for passing these wanna-be places. Don’t know if this one would pass inspection.
it was reasonably close to my destination, event location, and clean
