An incredible location with an incredible and unique concept. We both LOVED the place - it felt like coming home to a big family, everybody is caring about not disturbing the others and the hosts took care about making you feel comfortable and like at home at friends. Waking up to that view and having your breakfast while the sun is coming up over the mountains gave us so much energy which got even better when they switched on the whirlpool for us to enjoy a few hours in the pool to watch the sun going down. Unfortunately we didn't feel to well to go partying with the two and the other guests but that's reason enough to return to this incredible place with these lovely people. We would definitely come back.

I had a girls room... One night we had a full room with 4 girls. I had a very early day the next day and was woken up by extremely aggressive snoring, which was fine, some girls snore, it's fine. I didnt want to use the toilet too long in the early morning so I changed in the girls room. What I found out after I came back from my hike was that my room mate told me the snoring person was actually a man who had sneaked into the girls room at 2am and switch his bed with another girl. So all along, I was changing in a room with a man's presence. It felt unsettling, and of course a safety concern. Just a note to future travellers that this might happened and if you're okay with it then sure, this place is good for you. Also the electric kettle was dirty with milk froth, I didn't use the other kitchen items but other than the safety lapse about a man entering the girls room, no other major issues with the place.

Rainer was helpful with all the questions. The way the house is designed, with the views, you can see why he is passionate about this place. It was great that I could also use the washer and dryer (at a fee). The instructions that Rainer provided were also good and the location of the house was easily reachable from Luzern Bahnhof - though it's in a residential area so do be careful if you are travelling at nigh not to enter someone else's premises. Toilet is very large and well designed with large mirror where you can also put your clothes.

You really feel like home here!! Doesn't feel like a hostel with tons of unknown people. The view from your room worth all the money! It's clean and comfortable! I only had one night, but I felt like I would stay forever 😅😅 And definitely, I would live in such place!

I love this wonderful place, clean and well managed, have beautiful views from the living room and bedroom, staffs are so friendly and helpful, fully equipped kitchen, even perfect location. I could feel the host’s love for this place during my stay, and it made me feel at home definitely. So I extended my stay until the last day in Swiss. I’m sure it is the perfect place to enjoy Switzerland and happily coming back !

Overall, everything worked like it was promised. The host was exteramly frendly and ready to make our staying as good as possible. The rules of the house were followed by everyone. Other people were very kind and we had plenty of good discussion with them.

In general everything is good.

Rainer is a very good host. He prepared a guideline for arrival and for all your stay which is something I really appreciated. It was super helpfull. Also the ladies who support him are very friendly and willing to help you. The dorms are comfortable and the house has a a great view. The place was in general clean which was good. Definitely if you have chance come to this place you will have a good experience. You can use the kitchen and the common areas without a problem. He provides towels and lockers without charge which is very nice. For laundry machine it cost of course but is in a good price. I traveled alone and i think is good for backpackers. It not walking distance from the center but is very easy to arrive by bus which is free if you rent a room. There is not way to get lost , just find the bus 10 or 11. So far is a good option in Lucerne, I totally recommended.

Amazing place to stay. He is knowledgeable, friendly and has made staying at the homestay one of the best experiences in all of my European adventures. The house is 10/10, located on the Mountain so the view is amazing. The free bus ticket will take you to and from town with a 2 min walk. He has almost anything you can need and the kitchen is a great thing to use to save on costs.

Everything is as in the description. Clean, comfortable, warm, light, calm. Separate comfortable bed in a spacious room. Exit to the terrace overlooking the mountains. Rainer is a cute, nice person. I recommend.

I appreciated the fact that 10pm is literally quiet time. I didn't consider that includes no showering because the sound may disturb resting guests in the house. It was a small problem, didn't affect me much. Just slept it off. Prepared for many steps, I was and I expected it before my trip. It's worth it.

I could use the kitchen anytime we want before 10pm, just wash up after use and be considerate to others. Talking to friendly housemates. Spacious common and bedroom! Go in with an open mind!

An amazing oasis in Luzern that everyone should visit at least once! The view is incredible and will make you not want to ever leave, it's a picture perfect setting overlooking the mountains! The host Rainer is exceptionally kind, considerate to everyone and helpful. He has really thought about everything when it comes to what guests will need and how to make it a perfect stay for all which I appreciated. The guests staying here and the overall atmosphere in the house is just so welcoming and friendly, from the moment you enter, you feel at home! All amenities are there for those who need it from great Wi-Fi to lockers and literally everything you can imagine in between. Loved my stay and would love to return -10/10!

- The view is absolutely stunning! The pictures just don’t do it justice. There is a beautiful view from the living room, most of the bedrooms and the terrace, which will just blow your mind - Rainer! He was an incredible host. Nothing is too much trouble; you can literally ask him for anything and he’ll try his best to accommodate. He was also super respectful of all guests (and his neighbours), and ensured that the hostel was quiet from 10pm - Just the vibe. I have honestly never felt so welcome and relaxed at a property. Rainer and the other guests made my stay the best it could be and I absolutely cannot wait to return - The beds are super comfy - Good sized lockers - Strong Wi-Fi - Great bathrooms, recently renovated - Great kitchen and living space - Breakfast, some food and drinks available for a small fee

The property isn’t located in the centre, rather a 30minute walk or short bus ride! I personally enjoyed living in the suburbs, but just a heads-up!

I love that it didn’t feel like a hostel, rather a home. Rainer was super chill and made me feel right at home. The house was well equiped with ample facilities, my personal favourite… the massage chair. The rooms were spacious with lots of room for luggage. Rainer provided lots of information about lucern, the property and general information - the communication was excellent! I liked the family community type vibe! Able to meet other travellers easily! highly recommend :)
