The decoration ( furniture etc) was a bit outdated - but still functional.

It was a last minute booking but we got ourselves a good price for the stay. It is near to the Bahnhofstrasse (shopping !) , Zurich Lake and surrounded by 2 - 3 tram stations. Greeted by friendly check in staff on duty (1st Jan 2024) who made sure that we enjoy the stay as well as the city, showing us where we can go and what food should we try. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is so good and variety of choices. Also big commend to the housekeeping lady and the breakfast lady with made us felt hearty and welcomed.

This is a minor thing, but I couldn't figure out where the controls to lower the window shutters were and the curtains do not cover the whole window. It turns out the controls are right outside the bathroom and have some up and down symbols, which might be obvious for Swiss people, but not for me.

It's located at walking distant from a few landmarks. You can also walk from there to the train station comfortably, but it might be considered far for some. The breakfast had many options to choose from, including suitable for vegetarians, but the fully vegan were more limited. The room was spacious and clean.

The facilities and commodities doesnt value the amount charged, the room was nothing special and a bit old building, maybe we paid for the amazing breakfast.

VERY NICE BREAKFAST, filled with options, nice restaurant and the waitresses in the restaurant are very friendly, attentive and speak Portuguese, which is our language. Couldnt explore the location but it was very nice and quite.

Hotel doesn't have that much character. My room had a view to a lot of offices in front, who could easily see inside the room if the drapes weren't closed.

On Jan 1, 2024 , I come late in the morning I told the waitress that food are run out of bacon. The waitress told me " No more bacon " . I was very upset.

Too expensive for what it’s worth. The breakfast was basic. They brand themselves a 4-star hotel but they the facilities were more like a 2-star hotel.

Booking a night in this property was an informed decision because I read the reviews beforehand. So I wasn’t surprised to see the old carpeting, old furniture, old-looking interior. I loved that hotel is only 3 min by foot to the main shopping street because that was all I was after.

No in house fitness facility

The location is the best. Walking distance to downtown. The staff (I forgot to ask his name) that is assigned 12/25-12/27 in the afternoon - early evening is very helpful. He booked my cheese fondue restaurant and my ride back to the airport. He made our stay very comfortable.

The decor - needs modernising

This is a great place to stay in central Zurich. First thing to note is that the property looks and feels a little 'dated' in terms of decor and facilities. However, if you look past that, it is clean, well located and, most important of all - it has excellent customer service. I can't rate the staff highly enough here - we arrived late due to train delays and elderly parents needed help with baggage while we had to take the baby to the doctor. The staff helped with all the luggage and made sure we had what we needed. The cot for the baby was a little broken so they replaced it, they checked we had what we needed and just made sure we were comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Thank you to all the lovely staff.
