My room had an old door, shuttering when ever someone used the staircase (1st floor) In addition I could hear clearly everybody speaking on the floor (but not from their rooms). The breakfast was relatively cheap, but expect nothing advanced. It still was ok and avoids trashing too much as there were only a few people at that time.

There was some confusion when I was inadvertently initially assigned a non-air-conditioned room, but that was quickly rectified. It is quite clear in the Booking.com website when selecting a room during the reservation process whether the room has air-conditioning or not, but since there is a mix of similar rooms with and without, you need to verify that you actually get what you reserved when you check-in.

The double room was very spacious. It had a nice sofa, as well as a lounge chair. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. The room was at street level, but with the triple-pane windows closed there was zero street noise. Closing the windows was possible because it was one of the few air-conditioned rooms. The hotel is maybe a 15 minute walk from the train station, and less than a 10 minute walk from the Theatre du Passage which serves as the central point of the annual NIFFF (Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival). There are closer hotels, but this one is close enough to be convenient.

bathroom well equipped but a bit small, especially given that the door opens into the bathroom; the bed was very good but the mattress cover (under the bottom sheet) didn’t breathe and so it became too warm - I suggest replacing it with a fabric that breathes.

immaculate modern hotel, with well equipped rooms and a great location; the Neuchâtel tourist ticket (provided for free by the hotel) was an excellent unexpected bonus; breakfast was good.

Really out of the control of the hotel but I was woken at night by loud drunken people…I think if you stay anywhere in the lower town area it can’t be avoided but just a shame.

Why are the rooms so hot? Surely turning the overall heating down would be a sensible idea. I know you can put the air conditioning on but that is not an environmentally friendly solution in late November. Even the breakfast room was over heated!
