Loved everything about this magical, small hotel: staff (Andrea and Maria) food, room and public spaces decor, the quiet, the stunning views from our room, and their hotel and farm restaurants. Perfect place.

The bathroom in our room was very tight.

The situation of the hotel away from the hussel and bussel of the world, made the stay at the hotel special. The rooms were decorated with a good mix of old world and modern. The garden area was also a good area to relax. The hotel also has a lounge area, which means that you are not resrichted to your room.

We liked everything

Our stay was simply marvellous! Morcote is truly beautiful and the Relais is an exquisite little hotel. The design and interior is really well done and it’s even more beautiful than in the pictures. Everybody from the staff was really nice and attentive, especially Alex :) We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

There was construction right outside our window that we were not informed of until we arrived very noisy every afternoon

Design and ambience is a definite 10. Staff is very welcoming and accommodating, especially like the large living room and other areas outside of our room which we used to relax play games and hang out.

Getting to the hotel without a car is a challenge, google maps doesn’t show the shortcut so we had to call the hotel to explain the way to us. I would suggest the hotel to add some details how to walk to the hotel from the lake. The walk up is very steep and takes ca 25 mins to a person with a good fitness level. However this option should be still explained to guests if they prefer to travel without a car.

Only complaint is parking. It is a bit of a hike… especially with luggage. If you have any trouble with stairs, not the place for you.

Improved lighting adjacent to sofa for reading. Another wall outlet in would help. A grip/safety bar for bath shower.

Great breakfast, nice selection and great coffee. My only complaint has to do with smokers. Even sitting outdoors cigarettes etc smoke is obtrusive. Not the Relais fault

Make sure to get off at the Vico Morcote bus stop. We didn't know any better, so we had to take luggage up stairs.

Everything was exceptional. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we visit. The staff took very good care of us on on honeymoon. Shout out to Alex for being extremely helpful.

The hotel was very nice, the rooms, the location amazing, the restaurant right beside the hotel(also used for breakfast ) lovely!! The stuff friendly, supporting and with good humor. We fell in love with the place, will definitely go again.

Directions to the hotel were vague and it was a bit difficult to find. Booking.com could do a better job of how to find the hotel. Signage in the village was a little vague as well. Parking was a down a hill and a 5 minute walk, which is unavoidable, but makes check in and check out a bit energetic!

Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Pleasant serving staff. Lots of choices.

When we arrived we got a free upgrade to the loft suite! The breakfast was really nice! Weather permitting you can eat outside. Good to know; -The relais is on a hill, so you have beautiful views of the lake. It also means that if you want to go down to the lake; you either have to walk about 20minutes (up/down a steep path) or take the car. -The restaurant that is in the same building as the hotel; is not the hotel restaurant. The hotel restaurant is further up the hill, by car 5-10minutes. -The parking (autosilo) is close by; walking distance, about 150m (also some steps). The hotel can give you vouchers so you can drive in and out whenever you like. You pay the daily rate at the end of your stay at the hotel.
