After a long and exhausting drive, the only two things that every travellers need are a friendly welcome and a nice warm bath. And this hotel gives both! :) And if you read other reviews about the great breakfast, they are true. Breakfast was superb! obviously will come again.

United States7 reviews1 helpful vote“Perfect charming place, we would stay again.”These were not negatives for us but might be for others. This is a simple place, rooms are very nice, but nothing fancy. It’s further from the train station and the shops than other hotels but that was fine with us.
it was quiet, a great value, proprietor was helpful, comfortable, and served one of the top breakfasts we’ve ever had at an accommodation. Eiger was right in front of our balcony.

Japan13 reviews1 helpful vote“Wonderful vew”The building was a bit old. And no soundproof. There were really noisy guests on my floor and almost every noises they made I could hear, chatting, open/close doors, laughs, eatings and drinks. No fridges and safty box.
The breakfast is good. I enjoyed the varieties of cheese, ham and salmon. Also warm sausages and eggs. The staffs are very kind and warm. The location is a bit far from the train station but you can get the bus for free during your stay and one minute from the bus stop. The bed is comfortable and the room is old but spacious and clean. Good value for money.

Nice and helpful staff, good breakfast, a 5-minute walk from the cable car and Grindewald's center, excellent views from the parking lot (or if you get a room with mountain view)

The breakfast is very good and contains many options to eat and drink. The view from the balcony is breathtaking!

Love the way how the breakfasts were served now during this time. Equipment was not the newest, but everything was spotless clean. Staff was very supportive with perfect language skills.
