Great views out the window of my room and a nice view of grindelwald and Wengen if you walk to the town and back although it’s a very steep hill, I like the continental breakfast as well I didn’t go hungry

The room wasn't so clean and the blankets weren't nice. To get there it was a long walk with a very steep slope.

The rooms were very warm at night and they did not have adequate charging for all of our electronics. The staff was extremely friendly and I wouldn't generally have any complaints, although it was late in the evening when we checked in and they seemed to be pretty slow in the general process. I have found that the Swiss have a slower service than what I'm used to in the Americas so this is more of a general gripe than a complaint because they did nothing wrong. I will definitely be back!

We arrived late at night so we were not aware of the amazing view we would wake up to! Easily the best view I've ever had, but that is a credit to the fine city of gridewald as well. We met some amazing world travelers here's from China, France, australia, America and native Switzerland.

The internet doesn't extend very far out of the hotel so it was almost impossible to connect to the internet when you step outside, even when standing on the balcony of your own room.

My only gripe is being woken up by guests arriving in the dormitory at 10pm with huge suitcases and taking at least an hour to go to bed. That’s just rude, but it’s not exactly the hostels fault.

Beautiful accommodation in woods above Grindelwald. Amazing food. Fantastic mountain views. Lovely gardens!

Although there's a light by each bed, there is no electrical outlet. Very inconvenient for phone charging and using as an alarm. Room was too warm despite no heat turned on. Not sure why. Floors very creaky.

Great views. Can even eat outside on the balcony overlooking the snowy peaks. Lots of opportunities to mingle and chat with other guests. Away from the hustle-bustle of the town, but still within walking distance. I only booked here because the Interlaken Youth Hostel was booked, but I'm so glad it was, as this was a much nicer place.

The rooms are overpriced for the amenities they provide. No handwash in the toilet, extremely dim lighting and the kitchen area is in another building if you get a room in the new building.

The location of the hostel is great. Although it is a little far from the main town, there is good connectivity by bus with a bus stop right next to the hostel. The breakfast spread was truly amazing.

mattresses were very uncomfortable. We had no Mountain View. There should be better lighting between the main building and the lower building for night time. It would be nice if there could be an enforced "quiet time" after 10:00 PM.

I had signed up for an all female dorm but there was a man that was assigned the first night. The hostel does warn that there is a very steep grade to get to the area, but otherwise it is close to the main street and train station.

Check in was easy and the rooms were very clean.

Reception being closed before we arrived. We were late due to our ferry being 1 1/2 hours late and reception was closed when we arrived. We were given clear information and about what to do, so our need was met, it just would have been nice to see a friendly face!

Great location, excellent service on Reception and hosting and good, varied breakfast selection. Very clean and habitable with all we needed for our stay. Knowledgable host who was great at recommending where to visit.

Location is on top of a hill, it was very hard to get there after 6pm. Stay away from the soup there. That should not be served.

Location and available transportation created a very restrictive situation. Last bus up to that elevated location was 19:00

Is quite steep walk if you missed the last bus to the nearby bus stop of the hostel and the last bus is before 7pm if i remember correctly. If you are with big luggage is wise to plan to reach Grindelwald train station earlier to catch the bus as it is much easier to take the bus! There's no warm/hot water during the 2nd night so it was freezing to get the shower done.

The view is absolutely amazing! the mountain view is just right outside the window. The room is comfortable. The environment is ver peaceful. You could sit at the common area's balcony to relax. The receptionist is super friendly and nice.
