The staff speak no English. Better to bring a translation app if you don’t speak Mandarin.

Located just around the corner from the lake. You can easily reach everything by bus, bike or feet (if you like long walks, like me 😃). Very quiet area but some restaurants and shops are close. The room was basic but very clean. Good beds.

Location is quiet. In the scenic area. Bus stop at the door step that can reach the interesting spots. friendly staff. decent local breakfast included in the price. this is a good bed and breakfast. don’t expect 5 star hotel.

The location within a very calm neighboorhood near the lake, the bus is at the door (only a 15 min ride to the lake and most sights). The staff was really helpful and the rooms are really warm and comfortable (they even have heated floor).

our room was on ground level next to a path to another hotel/house which meant you would have to close the curtains to be concealed from walking by travelers

located directly next to smaller sections of the Westlake for a walk. Hotel was reachable via bus/car. Breakfast was a buffet with both chinese and western options. Speaking English was possible.

Stunning surroundings, with lakes, far from the crowds. I expected it to be quieter at night, but it depends on the number of guests arriving late or leaving early. It was during the national holiday so there were a lot more people than usual, I believe. Still, I had an enjoyable stay; It was lovely to wake up and walk to beautiful natural scenes. I enjoyed the location. It was easy to take a taxi or cycle to reach other main attractions. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. I love the style of the room, as it has a more traditional layout. When it was quiet, it seemed we were travelling back in time. Breakfast was served every day, but because of the high season, sometimes the room was a bit too crowded. The food options were good enough.

I'd say everything was almost perfect. But the owner should do something with the shower, the matte wall is pretty transparent, you literally can see everything from the room. If you're staying with friends or parents, it will be awkward. The water is leaking too. Nice bed with two different pillows, but the blanket was toooo thick for summer. The breakfast was nothing, not worth it. Black tea, water, eggs (gone in an hour), Chinese porridge, buns, sweet bread, rice, few pieces of watermelon. We stayed on the first floor, and it was noisy - people walking, talking, etc. Oh, our tv didn't work, no sound. It's 4 stars only for the location and the cottage itself.

Lovely location! Lovely tiny hotel. The bed was good. Had all the toiletries (very old towels though). Nice slippers. Pretty patio with cats and squirrels. Small shop with water across the street. Reception girl was very nice, her English is limited but quite enough. Good experience, good price.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was yummy. The room was great, decent size and comfortable. It is in a great location to view west lake but it also is not far from the city. I would stay here again.

The description does not match the reality. For example I paid for deluxe room with either balcony or projector. I had none of them. and the room has a retaining pole in the middle of the room.

The room is regularly cleaned. wash machine is easy to use and quite new. it's close to Westlake.

Love the traditional building design. In winter, the room is feeling warm with the floor and air heater are available.

There was a sewage smell in the room, especially near the toilet area. When we opened the door for a few minutes, the smell dissipated. I think there is a need for facilities servicing as the pipes could be old. There is some mold around the sink area.

It has a very cosy atmosphere, and it was surrounded by parks and lakes. The 20-30 min walk from the hotel to West lake is so relaxing and lovely! Breakfast is nice and to my liking (Chinese breakfast). We got the room on ground floor which is good as we do not like to climb the stairs. Reception ladies are helpful and kind. There is food options across the road from the hotel - we liked the Lanzhou food stall there very much!

To close to the other hotel (3 to 4 meters!), our window has a direct view on another hotel room. Our room needs a lot of maintenance (side table wobbly, fridge door damaged, ..).

Location very close to west lake. Breakfast quite correct and good variety of food.

The room was dirty with hair on the floor and spider webs in each corner. The view faced the roof. It was extremely cold on the first night. AC barely worked. No bathrobes. The attitude of the hotel staff could be better and no one spoke English. For those who don't spend much time inside, staying for a night or two is okay.

In the room, the bed was very comfortable. Warm floors. And very cute swings. The hotel is close to the Lingyin Temple, Botanical Garden, LongJingCun tea plantations, and the West Lake. Bus stops are also very close. Tip: If you want to use wifi in your room you have to specifically ask for that. The instructions and QR codes in the room do not work.
