Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI was worried by the mention of the loud music at Bora Bora next door but please don't be put off by it! It's only during 10-4 ish and you don't tend to notice it after a while. Mornings and evenings are extremely peaceful and I woke up to the sound of the birds every morning.
The staff are brilliant and all know your name after a couple of days, the food and drinks are well priced and delicious, the trips and activities are amazing (particularly the luminescent plankton tour, snorkelling trip and the paddle boarding) and the location is great as you can wake up in the morning and be in the sea in seconds. Every bed has a fan and mosquito net and the shared rooms are divided by moveable walls so I basically had a private room. I stayed an extra night as it was so great.

United KingdomAmazing location on the beach with lots of areas to sunbathe and relax by the water Lots of activities organised by the hostel - we LOVED canoing at dusk and seeing the bioluminescent plankton in the lake and also through the mangroves in the dark. An unforgettable experience. The place itself is clean and the food served is delicious.

GermanyPeople working at the bar always were very serious and it seemed like they were a little annoyed by the tourists. But maybe this happens in this job.
Nice rooms, very close to the ocean. 100% Island feeling and perfect for relaxing. Good restaurant.

ColombiaAs the eco-hotel is in from of the corral reef, the sea in from of it has so much rocks in the seabed, then if you wants a traditional beach with sand on the seabed you can go to by walk to "Playa Libre". Other things, is better to have rooms on the seconds floor, we had one on the first floor and at midnight we was woke up because feel the steps of the guest walking on second floor.
The place is fantastic, the attention is excellent, the sight of the sea is unbeatable, the meals are delicious. The experience in the "Magic lake", seeing and hearing the bio-luminescence placton was "magical"

ItalyThe hostel is literally in front of the sea and I think that's the best part of it! There are many places in which you can relax and enjoy a fresh fruit juice or homemade Kombucha from the bar (it's great!). Food at the bar is very tasty and at a fair price. The room is very basic and simple, but the bed is comfortable. The only thing is everything is open space, so you can hear noises and other people's voices. Bathroom were clean. Staff was open and nice. Definitely recommended if you're looking for something eco friendly and relaxing!

United StatesThere is music from the beach club next door that is somewhat bothersome at times, especially on the weekend.
A really down to earth, fun eco-hostel that was more attuned to the landscape and environment compared with some of the more garish resorts on the island. Lavi and her staff are incredibly helpful hosts. The bar/restaurant is surprisingly good, and the various activities are fun and reasonably priced! Great snorkeling close by. The private room we stayed in was not luxurious, but wonderful and overlooking the water and sunset. Would definitely come back here!

United StatesNothing I didn’t like about the property! Not on them some guests are loud and don’t know the meaning of no walls . Keep in mind the property doesn’t have sealed walls because of eco way of building with natural resources .
The Hamaquero experience was of full relaxation and learning about the beautiful island , their people and nature! They really invest in providing a way of living to the people of Orika. I recommend the Manglares experience to see the nature of the island. Also the food to dream of! Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. Sunsets truly breath taking

CanadaThe hostel could be more upfront about how things work and how their units are set up, I've had a number of surprises at check-in time. Also, the boat service company they work with are not professionals, they use ridiculously small boats and pack them with people and luggage, and probably don't inspect them much since we had both motors die on the trip back...almost turned to a nightmare
The staff are very nice and welcoming, the food is some of the best I've had the pleasure to taste from all the places I went to in Colombia and visitors from all around the island used to make the walk up there for the food, it's that good and varied.

ArgentinaMOSQUITOES. I got severely bitten by mosquitoes. At this point I'm not sure if it were mosquitoes or bed bugs. I checked the mattress and it looked fine, also, the hostess told us they do pest control regularly.
The place is amazing. Arguably the best location in the entire island. The sea and the sunset were just magical. Also the staff was amazing. Special mention to Felix! He took us around the town to get to know how locals live in the island. He made our stay a lot better!

United StatesNext door was a hotel that catered to day visitors and played loud music in the afternoon. If you are attached to creature comforts this may not be the place for you. But I’d go back in a heartbeat.
A truly eco-friendly hostel in a beautiful spot. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the owner was beyond helpful. The food was fantastic, and the fried fish the best I’ve had in Colombia, maybe anywhere. The masseuse did a great job, and I recommend her services.

United StatesThe music from an establishment next door (Bora Bora, maybe?) went on pretty late into the night. And on particularly hot days or emergencies (like sickness) there weren’t great options to cool down besides sitting in front of a fan.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and kind, especially to my sick partner. They seemed to really care for his health. The snorkeling was incredible and right off the beach, and the other activities were plentiful. Lots of spaces to hang out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

SwitzerlandThis place is perfect! Nestled on the shores of Rosario Islands is has easy access to the blue and warm Caribbean sea. There are multiple activities offered, such as witnessing bioluminescent plankton at night, which was magical, or you can simply explore the island. You can savour the beauty of the surrounding nature while enjoying the utmost comfort. The food is good, and the staff is very friendly. We originally planned to stay for just one night, but we couldn't resist extending our stay. It's definitely a must-visit destination.
