We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesThe attentiveness of the staff made us feel like VIP guests, the beautiful Woodwork throughout the hotel was very impressive, the pool was always warm and clean, kayaking & paddle boards was great and free to use, snorkeling, tours of the islands, aquarium was fun, the lobster 🦞 was fresh from our dock and delicious, prices were very reasonable especially for being on an island, they left nothing to want, again the staff was amazing and always smiling happy to help with anything we wanted.

NetherlandsThe price is too high for the beat up facilities. Our toilet wasn’t working properly the first days. The public bathrooms were disgusting. The shower in the room has never been cleaned properly. They said the WiFi wasn’t working due to storm, but we got the impression there isn’t WiFi as there was no storm.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. Especially Rodolfo!

United KingdomOver charged our bank card. Refused to come back on emails via Booking.com. When arrived at the hotel they didn’t have our booking and the places around the hotel looked closed. Chairs stacked on the tables for example. Only one option for Breakfast and dinner. Which they would then changed. Day guests get full priority over everything here.

CanadaBeimg left at sea for over an hr at seas on there snorkel excursion and almost drowning.. Absolutely terrifying and if I were in Vanada I would charge them. Then it turned scary so I had to leave as staff were threatening the people I was on the excursion with and I did not feel comfortable staying at the resortvas I was the only one there. I lost over 170 CAD and am very dissapointed!
This resort should not be listed as a represented as it is very down and miss leading

United StatesThe day trip visitors disrupted the atmosphere. the electricity and AC were spotty and was turned off by the hotel at times during the day. Hot water was rarely available for showers.

United StatesScammy, watch out! This place should not be on Booking.com. I booked weeks ago with my credit card and got confirmation, all seemed good. When I arrived, there is no office or reception or any indication what is going on, just a crowd of people inside a big patio and souvenir stall. When I found someone who works there and gave him my name and Booking info, he says there is no reservation for me. I pulled up my booking.com info and gave him the conf number, and he tells me it was for yesterday. No, I show him the receipt with today's date. Then he says it's only for 1 night. No, I show him the dates on the invoice, 2 nights as confirmed. Then he tries to tell me the price I paid was only for 1/2 and I owe the rest and they only take cash. At this point I turned and walked away to call booking.com directly because the confirmation shows 'total price'. Another staff convinced me to go back and lo and behold, this time the same guy who tried every trick in the book to overcharge me, now he has the correct reservation and magically now they take credit cards. So we stayed our 2 days and enjoyed Isla Grande alot. I had prepaid for round-trip boat tickets online from Delfines tours. When I checked out of Lizamar, the same guy tried to tell me my boat wasnt available and I needed to pay him for a boat ride. I whatsapped the boat company and they still had my return trip, no problem. The Lizamar guy was just trying to get me to pay him again for something else I had ahead reserved. Just a string of blatant scams and sadly they do this thing enough that it's just habit. Booking.com should not allow them to advertise on the platform. Lizamar appears especially to single out booking.com users for predatory behavior, so beware and keep your invoices. They said because we used booking.com, we don't get meals included like everyone else at the resort, they literally called us out of the lunch buffet line to charge us again during the middle of lunch.

ChinaWe spent more than 2,600,000 Colombian pesos for 2 nights of 2 adults and 1 kid, nobody told us which special places of hotel we can not go to and use just because the the hotel had rent those places to the tourist from 9:00 -- 16:00 before we book the hotel and even when we check in. We have to accept that rules because too many people already waited there and have to accept we can only go to the beautiful pavilions after the tourists leaving. The employee of travel agency is very rude and we don't know why it's so expensive if we have to share the public areas of hotel with the other tourists daily and even the tourists will be given priority. We did plan to find an isolated place in this beautiful island to celebrate new year together with our families,it had proved we did not choose the right hotel. But it's too expensive and too unfair that we spent such a lot of money and two days only to watch the tourists playing in the hotel.
Most of the employees of hotel are very kind and patient , especially the employee of canteen who was always smiling to everybody.
